Who is Bob?

greenspun.com : LUSENET : ER Discussions : One Thread

I've never watched ER until 5th season. I have watched seasons 1-3 on TNT. I only have the 4th season to watch and I'll be caught up. Anyways, eho is Bob? I hear people mention Bob but I have never heard of him on the show. Did I miss something or is he not on until the 4th season? I know this is probably a dumb question but I really don't know who Bob is. Did he date one of the main characters or something?

I love this question. From the FAQ section of this website: Bogdanalivetsky ``Bob'' Romansky (Malgoscha Gebel): Administrations Desk Clerk, former vascular surgeon in Poland

Bob, was a woman. She was only in a handful of episodes, most notably iin "Blizzard" when a patient started crashing and she jumoed in an did an emergency procedure to help the patient out, much to the shock of everyone who just thought she was a clerk. She then admitted she was a surgeon in her homeleand, but was scared that her "emergency" work would get her in trouble. Carter volunteered to help her study. She was then only seen a few more times, once has an "assistant" to Kerry. Then she vanished and never heard from again. She was an interesting recurring character with great storyline potential, but "poof" she was gone, hence the term "Bobbed" used to describe characters who disappeared without explanation.

I know I said a mouthful, but I hope this helps.

Thanks! That would explain it since TNT skipped that episode "The Blizzard".

More trivia: Doug Ross nicknamed her Bob.

No problem, I didn't realize TNT was skipping episodes (I'm cableless these days--the horror!!). I also didn't realize all my typos in that first response. Sorry! And my job is an editor. Thanks for the trivia Phyl!
