Arnold needs Cameron?

greenspun.com : LUSENET : No Extra Day : One Thread

Hi, Well thought I would ask this one as a bit of a light question..no real deep cinematic theological analysis. Is it just me..or does it seem Mr Schwarzenegger has not turned out a good film since True Lies..and before that T2...so perhaps unless the master Cameron is involved Arnold just keeps going more and more so on the wrong paths?

Hmmm, that's a damn good point. End of Days was so bad I nearly swallowed my own tongue. I think any actor needs a good director to shine, and vice versa. I guess we'll get the chance to find out soon ....twice even.

True Lies 2 is on it's way. And Arnold just spouted about T3 a few days ago on TV. We'll have both within the next three years. Any one care to place bets?

All I can say is that I'm happy Cameron only uses him sparingly. Can you picture Arnold running around in Titanic?

"Heurry, get to da leifboats! Ei'll hold da ship togeda!"

LOL :) That would be a great scene for a Titanic spoof.

From what I have read (over at Coming Attractions) Cameron will not be directing True Lies 2, and we can only hope for T3 to come together.

Do you guys read Dark Horizons?

They're saying a London newspaper is saying Steve Buscemi is said to have been approached for part in T3, to which he is said to have said: "Only if Schwarzenegger is starring in the movie".

I think this would be great, but without Cameron, it simply wouldn't be the same. Also, the person who wrote the script for T3 also wrote Tank Girl. Even if you're a Lori Petty fan, you know that can't be good.

Yes..the Tank Girl thing is a issue of fear for a T3 film..lets hope Cameron is brought back and rewrites it etc.

Also..who agrees that if Cameron does come back..they should definately end the series with the 3rd?

Yeah, I do agree. This is one of the few 'franchises' (it's only two) where it's not just downhill from #1.

#5 couldn't possibly be any good.
