Rodinal and Verichrome

greenspun.com : LUSENET : B&W Photo - Film & Processing : One Thread

Does anyone know why dev. times Verichrome processed in Rodinal are never published (not even in the darkrom cookbook). I just developed some in Rodinal at 6 min., as noted for plus-x and they came out great but I am curious why it's never shown combination.

I believe it is because Verichrome Pan is such an old film, and worldwide it doesn't get much notice. Since Rodinal is an Agfa product, I suspect they publish times only for the most-used films. I have heard that Kodak would like to discontinue VP, but it is still much in demand by portrait photographers. I brought ten rolls along on my vacation and am giving it a try for landscape work.
