1. What would possess Okonkwo to have killed Ikemefuna after they had lived together as father and son for so long?

In response to the first question, I don't know why they had to kill Ikemefuna but Okonkwo went along with it was he wanted to be important in the tribe and everyone else would have looked down on him for not doing it.
