Elian Could Return to Cuba Wednesday

By Frances Kerry

MIAMI (Reuters) - Barring a last-minute injunction by the U.S. Supreme Court, Cuban castaway Elian Gonzalez will be free to return to Cuba with his father as early as Wednesday afternoon, ending a highly politicized seven-month battle over his fate.

Making the pill even more bitter to swallow for Cuban exiles who fought to keep the 6-year-old in the United States rather than letting him go back to the communist-ruled island, Elian's expected departure coincides with moves in the U.S. Congress to ease Washington's four-decade-old economic embargo on Havana. . . .

kinda interesting that Bill holds a 'news conference' at the same time...from what little I could stomach, there were a few ?'s re;Elian several about gas and speaking of gas several about Al and how great and qualified to lead America he is..depending on the definition of 'is'....

As of 8pm EDT, Elian is back in Cuba. Now, if we could only get the rest of those South Florida transplants back to the Island. They should be happy to leave seeing as how ashamed they are to be Americans.

One of the things that bugged me most about the Miami relatives and the other Cubans there was the comment about how "we're as bad as Cuba now" or some such nonsense. Umm, no, ya see, one big difference is that you can LEAVE here if you don't like it so much. Funny how they never end up making that decision, though.

Hopefully, things will get better for Elian. I have come to believe that his return is best, his father is likely an ok father, and the Clinton admininistration, Reno, and the INS can stop the BS propoganda and political football with this kid. Same can be said for Castro, et.al.

And as far as who I would like to see leave the good ol' USA, it wouldn't be the Cubans, it would be the bigotted red necks who's ancestors came ashore some time ago, but the bigots are too stupid to be "aware" of that....

Unfortunately we can't say goodbye to Donato and Marisleysis, they aren't satisfied with just being normal leeches, now they are trying to suck $100 million from the taxpayers.

Hmm & the, aint it the truth.

Fact Fucker, you continue to be the gutless little puss when it comes to reality. To you everyone is just fine and to speak out is to be bigoted or racial. Your problem, you fucking worthless puke, is you cant find the balls to stand up for whats right. Disgusting asswipe.

Ra, Funny response, you may need a mydol, lol. I am available for face to face discussions, particularly if you wish to discuss the gutless issue. I also have a bar of soap you can taste...

Hawk, I think Donato and Marisleysis are now officially yesterday's stale bagel. Donato's going to have to settle for the three dollars in change he found in the couch he was sleeping on, and Marisleysis is going to be terribly disappointed when she discovers that Playboy isn't all that interested in a photo layout on "Elian's Girls." I could be wrong.

Fisherm an' Dalrymple files $100 million civil rights lawsuit against Reno, Meissner

Yeah, Hawk, I was aware of the lawsuit. I just don't think there's a chance in hell of him winning it. Judicial Watch just got involved to be a burr under the saddle (again). But I'm not a lawyer, so what do I know? They may settle for enough for Donato to get that new collection of dustrags he's always wanted.
