Doulas in Canada?

I am interested in becoming a doula. I live in Vancouver, B.C.. I'm wondering what education is needed. Any information on becoming a doula in Canada is welcome.

Hi Kristen, I took my training from LSAR in Ontario. They may be able to hook you up with an organization out west. You can email them at lawson@sprint.ca

I'm jumping into this discussion really late, but the information is probably still relevant.

I teach the CAPPA doula trainings in BC. If you want more information on the trainings, you can take a look at my website at: www.birth.bc.ca.

There is also a list of ways to train as a doula in BC on the website.

I hope this helps someone!
