Fly repellant

greenspun.com : LUSENET : Countryside : One Thread

Hi All, Okay I have this new thing I am doing here on the farm. I have a fly problem. I will have 20-30 flies in each room of the house at any given time. I hate spraying stuff and was really frustrated. My husband came home with fabric softner sheets. He hung them in all the exterior doorways of the house. Well don't you know I have not ONE fly in my house. It took about 3 days to get them all gone but for a week now I have no more flies. Good luck. Karole

When out riding your equine, stick a fabric softner dryer sheet in your shirt pocket with a bit sticking out, and one in your back pocket. Tie one to the equine's bridle. Insect free riding! I keep one in my shirt pocket when working outside and the gnats are bad.

I'm going to try this today.

Does this work for mosquitoes???? The kids are COVERED in bites this year -- the sprays do NOTHING, and it's been really wet here. They practically carry you away if you're out in the garden after dusk.
