NEED RESPONSES QUICK: new calf :o)

greenspun.com : LUSENET : Countryside : One Thread

Our lovely cow Anabelle just had a Hereford/Jersey heifer!!!! Mama and baby are doing wonderfully well. We didn't get to witness the birth, because she had it very early this morning. She is small and a rusty sort of brown, with a white head. Anyway, there is a division in the house. Olivia wants to name it Lucy. Amelia wants to name it Buttercup. I vote for Peek-a-boo and Owen, Dad and Mom don't really know, (or care?). So, which of the names do you think is best? Lucy, Buttercup or Peek-a-boo? Which ever gets the most votes, we'll use. Please respond ASAP!!

I vote for Peek-a-boo. Buttercup's nice, but too common.

I like Lucy!

Since she's half Hereford, half Jersey, and brown to boot, why don't you call her Hersey, or Hersey Kiss if she needs a last name?...

Hi! Since it was Mom's cow who had the calf, she decided to call her Lucy. I'm a little disapointed, (I liked Peek-a-Boo) but at least she'll have a name for when our company comes very soon :o) Thanks for your help and please keep posting your favourite names, (the ones listed above and yoiur other favourites too). Hopefully my cow Blossom will have a calf the same time next year, so I'd like suggestions!!!

We are raising a orphan bull calf, (reg. limo). I have put so much money into this calf in Vet bills that Mrs. insists on calling it Bucky because every week it costs more Bucks. I like to call him Little Mac after a pals's grand son. As he grows on it will change to Big Mac.

You make me laugh, Okie Dokie !!! I love Little Mac/ Big Mac :o) I'll have to remember that one! ShaRon, It's sort of funny, because Mom thought of Rosie and we have a cat named Licorice! Keep on namin'
