More than 1,300 residents in Southwest Roanoke were without power for about two hours Sunday night.
American Electric Power communication manager Tom Ayres said some wire went out near Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital, which caused the south Franklin Road circuit to lose power.
Ayres did not know what caused the problem, but said new wire was to have been spliced in about 8:30 p.m.
