quotable quote [Sysman] (for those who whine about bringing up the past)"I hope your all alive next year to make fun of us"

"BigBadTrolls - It would be a waste of my time, and yours. I do wish you guys good luck, you'll need it. I hope you're all alive next year to make fun of us. <:)=

Well, we ARE all alive, and we HAVE been making fun of you....it would nice if the memetic doomers would remember their own words.

Answers

andrew raymond you're worse than boring,,,you're stupid and you don't have enough imagination to pick an original name. May I suggest you start posting as "polly idiot?"

Sysman has already acknowledged he is wrong.

-- (Bill G@tes is.king), July 10, 2000.

I made over 3,000 posts on the old forum, and this is the best you can come with?

Sheesh...

AR2,

At least Sysman knew the difference between "you're" and "your". If you are going to put someone's statement inside of quotation marks, you should at least be *quoting* them.

Lets see....I'm boring, stupid & an Idiot...

Sysman completely ignores the point of the post....

A typing error is attacked.

How typical and predictable. Ignore the point TOTALLY (the fact that sysman [and others] stated they would be GLAD to be made fun of this year if TEOTW didn't happen; but now the whinners bitch and moan about old posts....*sigh*) Reminds me of Diane Squire....many people felt sorry for her because of "troll" attacks, yet she begged to be attacked....remember? "here is the target trolls....do your darndest!"? Remember that one?!?

"The truth shall set you free"

Truthful regards,

*ROFLMAO*

Sysman, you have to admit, you did say that, you did ask for it.

Sysman, you know I don't harbor any negitive feelings towards yoou, I apreciated the fact that you were at least willing to discuss details of embeddeds, but this really has tickled me. After all, you hoped for this. Yes you have admitted you were wrong and I hope no-one expects you to do it over and over again. Just go with the flow and think before you write something that someone can hold up against you later that you wouldn't want them to.

Actually I would think you would be glad that those words can be posted, that everything turned out ok.

If you read the different things CPR posts you will learn who and what caused you to believe the way you did and you can become indignent at those who are responsible for putting you in this position in the first place. If you read what he is writing you will see the different steps that occured, how things got so out of control, that too many people were fooled.

Maybe you can learn who it is you should really be irritated with, who caused you this discomfort you are having to live through.

Ignore your dislike of CPR and read what he "copies and pastes", you may be glad you did.

So what do you want me to say? Did you expect "I hope you die as starving lump of ice"??? Sorry, you've got the wrong guy...

I did make this statement, soon after I first found the TB2K forum. When I first became "concerned" about Y2K. When I did think that Y2K could cause death, esp in the colder parts of the world, with power problems and such...

But to say that I "wished" for it, huh??? Where does that come from? Can you provide a link, or something???... Sheesh...

When I first landed on TB2K, I was a 7 doomer. I wonder why, with all of the "bad" news, being surrounded by hundreds of fellow doomers daily, for almost a year, being one of the top 10 poster at the "swamp", I wonder why my concern for Y2K never went up? In fact, I was closer to 6 at CDC.

Some here bring up censorship at the old forum. You all know how I feel about the Flint "ban" on the NEW forum. That's just not right. But we're talking about the old forum, where a handful of troublemakers, that call themselves pollys, were banned for SPAMing. And fellow pollys wave this around as censorship of the polly point of view.

Well, I've got news for you. I did listen to the pollys. I listened to guys like FactFinder, and Dan the Power Man, that seemed to know what they were talking about. They are why my concerns about power never went up. Yes, I also listened to Cowles, and Cook. Yes, I did prompt a debate between them. So what? Some say that I was trying to promote FUD. Sorry, again, you've got the wrong guy. I had real concerns about power, and didn't know shit about it. I found my answers, from the pollys, at TB2K.

Funny thing is that I went to the polly boards, looking for the same answers. All I found there were people ripping new AHes into GN and EY, and making fun of posts from "the swamp". Kinda like what's going on here today, with Mr. Quote Ray. The pollys never did do a very good job at presenting their point, except for a few like Flint and Hoff.

See you kids later. Let me know when this dead horse is a pile of dust.

Thank God that I never was a 10. Imagine what cpr and Andy would be doing to me now...

LOLLOLLOLLOLLOL... <:)=

PS - And yes Cherri, in some ways, I am glad that I can be made fun of today...

-- Sysman (y2kboard@yahoo.com), July 10, 2000.

Bruce, I concur with all that you have just said, with one exception. The selective deletions were going on long before the infamous Week of Spam. Actually, it was those escalating deletions that brought on the spam attacks by a few of the old time Pollys. Given the nature of the moderators it was inevitable that the old TB2000 would turn into a closed society.

For six months, I was deleted often and selectively for daring to oppose the views of folks like A&L, Old Goat, and the pig farming hairdresser Will Continue. Well, Ive had my unrestricted say now for six months so its all a wash in my mind. There are certain freaks like Dennis Olson who will never leave the list but other than that everyone gets a clean slate from me (like anyone gives a shit).

This place is just loaded with interesting characters and some may even be sane. Roll on.

-- Ra (tion@l.1), July 10, 2000.

Ra,

You do have a good point. In fact, I made a big deal out of a thread that was deleted, where I was having, believe it or not, a "good" discussion with Lady Logic. Me, the famous Sysman, had an entire evenings worth of typing deleted! No, that stuff wasn't right.

I'm not here to defend the old sysops. After seeing what happened to Flint on the new forum, I can understand where you are coming from. I never wanted to see anyone banned. I even tried to get my "oldest enemy" (Y2K Pro) removed from the list.

I'll give you the point Ra. Yes, LL did start with the spam after she was deleted on sight. You know, I've been a sysop in the past, in the old BBS days. I don't know what I would have done if I were involved in TB2K. The place really was a zoo. While I don't agree with everything that went on at TB2K, in some ways, I can understand why it did. I could go on, but I think I'll just let it be...

Well Ra, at least you concur with everything else that I said. Perhaps there is hope for us after all...

Sysman, I just thought that it was ironic that you posted it meaning one thing and circumstances have made it come back to "haunt" you. I don't think it's funny in a mean way, but in an ironic way.

Don't let it get to you. If anything get mad at the circumstances and people who put you in this position in the first place. And ignore that which irritates. It isn't worth getting upset about, think about the fact that you could have died in your accident and not been here at all for others to push your buttons. That is real life.

-- Cherri (sams@brigadoon.com), July 11, 2000.

Sysman, just take your lumps with good grace and you'll find that people will eventually just let it go.

-- Tarzan the Ape Man (tarzan@swingingthroughthejunglewithouta.net), July 11, 2000.

AR2, you said,

A typing error is attacked.

Nope, a grammar error was attacked. If it was a typing error, you may have written "yau're" or something, and I understand that. My typos get pointed out all the time. But how do you "mistype" "you're" to "your"? To me, you correctly typed the wrong word.

Picky today,

Frank
