I was just wondering who Maria Callas is. Shes mentioned on e-bow the letter. Is she a real person, is she famous? Thanx !!!

Maria was a Greek-American operatic soprano (1923-1977) noted for her dramatic intensity. Ceased performing in 1965. there you go :)

right, this is the bit where I run off another one of may zany theories.

E-bow is about being a star and glam rock "Maybelline eyes and girl as boy moves" etc. Marc Bolan was the original Glam superstar. Marc Bolan and Maria Callas both died the same day. Bolan got the front page and Callas was consigned to languish in the inner pages, even though her artform would be regarded as higher by most people hence "Maria Callas, whoever she is".
