Rik, did you apply for 2 tickets 6 years ago or just the 1 for yourself? I'm not saying it's justifiable, but if you changed the nature of your booking then it's possible that that is why they bounced you down the list. Best to be certain of these things. They would defend that as a case of not wanting to allow your lad to jump the queue if it was in which case they would try to make you look like the guilty party. Should still have given you the option of getting one by yourself even if that was the case.
