Spoilerinfo about Carter

Hi ER-Fans,

I4ve just read this:

7/18/00, MITCHELL FINK...NY DAILY NEWS... Dr. John Carter is in drug rehab in Atlanta.

That's where "ER" viewers will find Noah Wyle's character when the medical drama returns to NBC in September.

Wyle let it slip Saturday night at the Project Angel Food awards gala in Los Angeles after reading the first script of the new season. "My character is addicted to drugs. If you saw the finale, you saw me injecting Fentanyl into my own wrists. I'm detoxing. I stay in the rehab center for one episode. But one episode plays out like I've been there for 90 days."

Not a bad idea, I think. What is your opinion ?

WOw, I really wasn't thinking that they'd do that; I thought they'd just have him returning to the ER in the first episode. For some reason I wasn't really advocating them showing him there (just because shows out of the ER don't do as well...but maybe if it's CARTER...), but now that I've heard that, I'm excited to see it. Plus it doesn't seem like it will be all about him; I'm sure they'll go back to the ER. I am awaiting some MAJOR Carter support from his coworkers.

Me too Elaine... MAJOR, MAJOR support from his coworkers (especially Benton)... sorry about the capitals... but I'm still upset that Noah didn't get nominated for an Emmy... I love Carter and he NEEDS some support!!! and I love Noah because he's a GREAT actor! But that goes without saying of course! :) I'm happy now I got that out of my system... thanks for listening..

I'm guessing, or hoping, that the first day of the season would be Carter's last in Rehab. I think it would be nice if one of the staff could maybe pick him up from Atlanta, or rather if they could meet him at the airport when he arrives back in Chicago. Maybe Benton, or Kerry.
