Several bishops and general officers elected were pastors. Now that they have other titles, how long do they remain in their previous pulpits? Are their former pulpits filled immediately or is there a waiting period? Is this addressed in the Discipline?

Answers

In our district, those pastors elected to higher office are replaced at the discretion of the presiding bishop. Generally, there is a brief transitory period--depending upon individual circumstances.
