About A Boy

I read About A Boy a few months ago, and wasn't terribly impressed. It had its funny parts, the kind of sharp and witty writing Nick Hornby is known for, but the book seemed to be bored with itself. I don't know if that makes any sense. Thoughts?

yeah, I was thinking about that. the book seems like it was missing something. missing some point. it's great that the boy had grown into himself and all that but what about the supporting characters? it didn't seem to close up the loose ties there. about the mom and will and all of them. hmm.

it was nice for a laugh though I guess.
