I just picked up an ice cream maker at a yard sale. I'm looking for a basic recipe with as few ingredients as possible. Do you have a favorite? Now if only I had a nice Jersey cow for fresh cream.....

I use 2 1/2 cups heavy cream, 1 egg, 1 cup half and half, 1 Tbls of instant pudding, 1 cup sugar and 2 tsp of vanilla. Whirl in a blender and freeze in ice cream maker for time recommended, mine is 20 minutes. My DH loves it. You can also substitute other flavors if you like.
