When in a used book store check for those by Juliette de Bairacli Levy. She is the author of over a dozen books. Some titles: The Illustrated Herbal Handbook, Herbal Handbook for Farm & Stable, Common Cures for Natural Health, Menopausal Years: The Wise Woman Way Alternative for Women, Complete Herbal Book for the Dog and Cat, Herbal Handbook for Everyone and Natural Rearing of Children. You can also search for her books on www.bookfinder.com and www.bibliofind.com. Since her books were published in Great Britian, that may be the only source of some of them. You might also send an e-mail to www.a1oldbooks@aol.com asking if they have any by her. Some may even be still in print and available at www.amazon.com or other such sites.

I'll second Ken on this one. There is one warning, however. I remember in an old Mother some people were steamed because their animal had died in agony after one of her remedies was used. The problem was de Bairacli Levy had specified oil of turpintine and they'd used plain old paint brush cleaning turps. DUUUHHHH!!!! When using ANY remedy, make sure you're using the right stuff, if you aren't sure, DON'T use it. Gerbil
