Ok, everyone!

The article starts out with Noah Wyle, it's mainly an article on him, about the new episode starting with him still in detox. Noah wants to be the new hunk of the show, and they list the reasons why he's become the favorite male doc on ER.

On to the spoilers! -Carter will have bouts of deep depression over the stabbing, and he will be plagued with flashbacks. His depression will be cured by Kerry Weaver, who helps him cope with Lucys death. But their friendship ripens into a steamy love affair!

-Greene and Corday will experience romantic trouble

-Benton will go through a cathartic life crisis, and will continue his relationship with Robot. I mean, Dr. Finch, sorry

-Dr. Luka Kovac will be romantically involved with Deb Chen! *HUH!?*

That's all I have right now. Dont forget, these aren't my spoilers, they're the Star, so Im not sure about how accurate it'll be. But the Kerry-Carter thing, I just HOPE that's real!

-- Emily (fallenlilac22@cs.com), July 28, 2000.

I really hope that none of those spoilers are true (except maybe the part about Carter in detox). I'm sorry, but Kerry & Carter, and Luka & Chen? I mean Ugh! I know some of you want Carter and Kerry to get together, but I cannot picture them anything else then friends. Besides, even though the star sometimes gets the plots right, they hardly ever get the new romance ones correct. Remeber when they said that Chen and Romano got together? Not even close.

Amy

PS; Wasn't there a rumor going around about Sherry stringfield coming back to ER for a few guest spots this season?

Amy

UGH! Not me I really dont want to see a Kerry/Carter romance maybe a friendship but nothing more. Someone else said it would be like a mother making out w/ her son and I for one totally agree. Sorry if I affended anyone. I would like to see about that Luka/Chen thing though and what sorta problems Mark and Elizabeth are having.

-- bridgette (Bridgette713@hotmail.com), July 28, 2000.

I'm taking these spoilers with a grain of salt. Yes, some have been true in the past, but I feel kind of wary trusting Star. Just me, maybe. The spoiler that I hope will not come true is the one about Mark and Elizabeth experiencing romantic problems. Now, don't get me wrong here. I know there's never a perfect couple. But I really like M/E together. She's so good for him, and it's high time Mark finally finds something good in his life. Maybe he'll return to the Mark of Season 1 & 2...with the exception of Susan.

Oh well...just my take on the issue...

-- Jen (noahfan@juno.com), July 28, 2000.

I was hoping that the robot would've left the show. Well if Susan does come back for a few episodes, that could tie into the problems between Mark and Lizzy. I don't want to see Carter with Kerry at all. I wish they would just get rid of Chen too. No mention of Dave or Abby?

-- Ryan Mulligan (pxpres@idt.net), July 28, 2000.

Me too. I re-read them and I hope none of them are true. I would like to see Kerry and Carter together, but then again, I think he'd be great with Jing-Mei or Abby, even. I would like Malucci to be in the show a lot more! And I really hope the star isnt just giving out false information. I remember back in May or April they said Carter was going to commit suicide, and yes, the season finale had a cliffhanger, but we knew where Carter was going. I wish I could find spoilers from a reliable source!

-- Emily (fallenlilac22@cs.com), July 28, 2000.

So Noah wants to be the new hunk on the show. I really hope he doesn't start acting like he's so much better than the other guys on the show. That would definitly put a wedge in the cast to have somone acting like that. He is cute though. I hope those rumors aren't true. Except for Noah being in detox and him to finally talk about Lucy's death a little bit. Hey what about Dave? There's nothing on him.

-- Cammie (rmaelhorn@home.com), July 28, 2000.

I forgot to add that I hope this season is better than last season but it'll be hard now that Julianna, George, and Kellie are gone.

-- Cammie (rmaelhorn@home.com), July 28, 2000.

Luka & Chen? I hope not. He needs someone wonderful not someone that is too big for her britches. She makes me so mad thinking that it's her place to tell everyone's secrets. (Like telling family members about diagnosis' that the patient wants to keep confidential) I don't think she'd be good with Luka at all.

-- Linda (l.brown@mindspring.com), July 28, 2000.

Please NOOOOOOOOOO Carter/Kerry romance...he can need her to help him through the aftermath of rehab, Lucy, and the attack, but NO kissing (or other things). I hope Susan IS coming back, to start trouble with Mark and Elizabeth (but I don't want them to break up...they just need some storyline to build on) and Susan can see what a hot troubled soul Carter is and soothe him, keeping him from Kerry...she needs a different man. I would rather see Abby with Luka before Deb, but you never know...I didn't think I'd like Mark and Elizabeth, and I do now. Bring Jeanne back so she can be with Benton (except she's with Reggie, so nevermind)

-- Elaine (mrsclooney78@hotmail.com), July 28, 2000.

OK, I'm going to try to be very nice... WHY ARE YOU ALL SO GULLIBLE???? Every time the Star says something, no matter how inane, the fans fall for it 100%. Just like they fell for it when they said Clooney was coming back to marry Doug off to Carol... just like all the crap they said last season. People... the star is a tabloid, a tabloid, a t-a-b-l-o-id... they are in the business of making up whatever they please about whomever they please in order to sell magazines to gullible people. All of this stuff is either a re-tread of OTHER Star "spoilers" that never came true LAST season, or stuff that sounds like it was taken from fan fiction writers' fantasies. Please take all this with a major grain of salt... THE PEOPLE AT THE STAR KNOW NOTHING... THEY ARE MAKING MOST OF IT UP. IT IS A T-A-B-L-O-I-D.

-- Beth (beekster@aol.com), July 28, 2000.

I certainly do take all Star spoilers with a grain of salt, but I think the reason many people take it semi-seriously is because while they have made up ridiculous scenarios in the past, several of their reports have been correct as well. They were right on many counts with their season finale spoiler article last season and season 5 as well.

-- JLS (ewwhatevr@aol.com), July 28, 2000.

Beth, don't like freak out over it! It's just an article! Calm down. Sometimes tabloids are accurate! I personally dont think they are but you don't need blast everyone for believing them. Maybe they are true?

-- Maori (ergirly2001@gurlmail.com), July 28, 2000.

O.K--So let's just hope these "rumors" are mostly false. I like Weaver and I like Carter but I just can't picture them romantically involved. To me, she has been more like a mother figure to him so I hope that it's not true. Besides, wouldn't it seem a bit out of character for Weaver, with her position of authority to date Carter. I mean, she made him move out because of that to begin with. I hope this season isn't all about romance, I'd like to see some friendships develope.

-- Renee (slinne32@aol.com), July 28, 2000.

Oh...my...God!!! I know Star was accurate on some of their season 6 finale spoilers, but please don't let this ugly rumor be true!! Carter/Deb & Kerry/Luka make a better pairing. I can see Kerry helping Carter with his recovery, but no romance - oh, please!! Okay, maintain composure; this is a tabloid after all.

-- anne (sapphire_172@hotmail.com), July 29, 2000.

Indeed. Ignore "Star". Most of their 'spoilers' are either wrong or only half right (and they have yet to be correct re: romances on the show-thank God; I'd hate have to sit through scenes of Carter & Kerry making out ). And most are just made up. And has anyone noticed yet that all these "spoilers" sound a lot like the spoilers from *last* season?! And most of them were wrong, too! It's a tabloid. Next week they'll be reporting that Elvis Presley was spotted at a burger joint in Broken Arrow, OK (eating three BBQ sandwiches and drinking a chocolate milkshake, of course...). It's claptrap.

-- Miesque (miesque@looksmart.com), July 29, 2000.

The STar has a mixed track record with spoilers . They were 95% accurate with their predictions of the first three episodes of season six. They were mixed with theire season ending one. I'm all for Carter/Kerry getting closer friendship wise and then getting together romantically. I have read the complete article and I think the wholew part about Noah wanting to be the new Clooney on the show and his character being the leading hunk is a bunch of hogwash. That does not sound at all like Noah. I remember earlier this year the star reported that NOah, Goran. and Eriq were arguing on the set about who was the hunk on the show. Noah and Goran supposedly got in a fight over the food, Supposedlt none of the guys would talk to Goran. It turned out to be a totally fabricated story. While I think that a few of the spoiler may turn out, I think the gist of the article is made up.

-- Brenda (Jckwfan@aol.com), July 29, 2000.

Kerry and Carter!!! OMG!!! My favourite character (kerry), getting together with my favourite male on the show (carter)!!! Yikes!! Now, i do think kerry needs romance in her life but i don't know whether it should be with carter or not. I think it will be interesting to see though. It'll be interesting to see how kerry is in a relationship. We'll see a different side to her, rather than her working/career side. We might see some passion in kerry weaver!!!! I know tabloids aren't that reliable, so i'm not 100% believing it, but overall, i hope all the stories come true. Does anyone know how long laura innes plans to remain in ER? Please post another message folks! lol, adios. xx

-- Frances (privyet001@aol.com), July 29, 2000.

I know the Star is nowhere close to being areliable source of info, but they have gotten some spoilers correct in the past. I hope the Carter ones all turn out true as long as Carter is not in a depression for too long. I want to see him functioning well and close to acting more like himself soon. I would love to see Carter/Kerry become very close and have a relationship. I don't want it to be a short term one.

-- Deb (johncarterfan@aol.com), July 29, 2000.

As with most star spoilers, these are probably half-right or only have some aspect of truth to one or two of them. However, the Carter/Kerry is probably the closest to the truth. Carter with depression seems believable and Kerry being the one to help is also. Think about it. They lived together. Whether or not it included anything romantic, they have to have some close relationship, just from living in the same house. I like to think that he knows a lot more about her than anyone else, and vice versa. I'm not sure how I would take a romance between the two, but I can't say I'd hate it. And it seems somewhat probable given the circumstances.

Basically, I think the whole "Star" spoilers thing is a clever plant by TPTB (and really-I rather doubt they have all the scripts written at this point). Really-I think it's a red herring, to throw everyone off the trail. Carter will end up with Chen, Luka with Kerry. *G* It would certainly look wrong if Carter were to move back in with Kerry and have an affair with her, since he's angling for an attending or fellowship position at County after his residency ends. Wouldn't it *look* like he was sleeping with his boss lady to climb the ladder? From what I've seen of Luka's behavior, he has no interest in any such thing-he seems quite happy where he is. And Kerry, like it or not, treats Luka as an equal (she would have torn Carter several new holes if *he* had revived Carol's DNR patient, and we all know it). I've yet to see her treat Carter as an equal. Besides that, after rehab, it's recommended that you avoid relationships for at least a year. So basically, at this point, I don't see Carter with anyone, much less Kerry. And I really don't ever want to have to see that.

And basically, Carter and Kerry would bring out the worst in each other. Opposites do attract, but in the end they would try to reinvent each other, and in the process destroy each other's characters. They just wouldn't last, and Kerry, IMO, would want a long-term relationship one day. It just wouldn't work, and I'm very glad that TPTB appear to have stepped away from the idea. Something about the idea just seems very wrong and very out of character for Kerry at the very least. She might struggle for a while to overcome her misgivings about pursuing a relationship with Luka, but I think one scenario would be for her to be demoted. Another would be for Romano to get in serious trouble (sexual harrassment, anyone?) and lose his position, thus clearing the path for the couple.

Basically, the whole Carter/Kerry thing in "Star" was meant to sell papers to a vocal minority. That's all. I'm part of an increasingly vocal minority myself (Luka/Kerry) but I have no intention of wasting my money on "Star" magazine. :)

-- Miesque (miesque@looksmart.com), July 30, 2000.

CARTER AND KERRY, NO WAY!!! I felt icking when carter was going out with rebecca demorna's character (carter's cousin's ex-wife) Kerry is TOO old for him. She is more like a mother to him. I don't want to see them together romantically.

-- Julie (jbarracato@angelfire.com), July 30, 2000.

Now that I have thought about it for a little bit, I choose not to believe the tabloid article. The Star tabloid said that Carter may or may not committ suicide not once but twice. Once in March and then again in May. I have decided that unless someone from the cast like Noah actually says it's true then I won't believe it until I see it.

-- Cammie (rmaelhorn@home.com), July 30, 2000.

Let me rephrase that. The Star magazine reported twice in a two month span that Carter may or mya not committ suicide. Sorry about that!

-- Cammie (rmaelhorn@home.com), July 30, 2000.

I think Carter and Kerry are well suited for another. I think they would compliment each other. I think they both think highly of each other. I also think that Kerry does trust Carter. He probably knows more about her than anyone else. I don't think Kerry would tell stuff to just anyone. I think Carter learned quite a bit about Kerry when he rented a room from her. I think Kerry think of carter as a colleague. I think she thinks highly of his abilities. She may get after him sometimes if he was to mess up , but she would do that to anyone. She has shown respect for Carter. I remember earlier in the season when she apologised to Carter for getting him caught up in her argument with Mark. I really would like to see them get togetrher. I think it would be better if they did this slowly.

-- Cathy (katsfam@yahoo.com), July 31, 2000.

No real opinion on the spoilers - but what's all this about Kerry being "too old" for Carter? What's up with that?? She's probably younger than Abby Keaton was, and Carter was just a wee thing while having a fling with Abby (albeit a clandestine one, for the most part). I'd put Kerry at no more than 35, 36 at the most. And what's Carter, no younger than 27-28 (I dunno - suggested estimates are welcome). She's hardly his mother - despite the "authority" she has over him at work - I think a relationship is feasable and realistic (if only to provide Kerry with more meaningful screen time - she's the best!).

-- Jenn (jenn.curran@sympatico.ca), August 02, 2000.

Carter is 30 and I think someone said that Kerri is 37. I'm not sure about that one though. But in "Full Moon, Saturday Night" he tells a pregnant lady who's into astrology that he was born in 1970 and he's a Gemini.

-- Cammie (rmaelhorn@home.com), August 02, 2000.

Wow - good research there Cammie, thanks!

-- Jenn (jenn.curran@sympatico.ca), August 02, 2000.

Oh my god! I just read that article in the store today (I didn't buy it) and I can't believe what I read. They have made it sound as if Noah has turned into a stuck up snob. It said that he's been working out big time and he wants to be the next George Clooney on "ER". I started laughing because I couldn't believe it. I honestly hope he isn't actually thinking he could ever replace George. I know it's a tabloid and I don't believe that stuff but it was funny. It was to me anyways.

-- Cammie (rmaelhorn@home.com), August 05, 2000.

Yo yo yo my name is mo i smell really good becuz i wear cologne

-- Bobby (Sobbybobby@hotmail.com), May 11, 2001.

ahahaha So Kerry's a lesbian!! Excellent! I know she was always my fave lady... Kim Legaspi's not bad either Oh and could y'all have BEEN anymore wrong??
