real shame - get on with it

I wish they'd get this sorted, bad for the player, club and fans. He's been a pretty loyal, if rather odd servant to the club and fans, his bitterness is begining to bother me.

Temuri Ketsbaia is pleading with Newcastle boss Bobby Robson to slash his "ridiculous" #1 million valuation.

The Georgian, left out of the United squad that went to the USA last week, said: "How can the club show everyone I'm not in their top 22 players and still ask #1m? It's ridiculous."

Totally agree Rog , ive loved the fella since he joined for pure passion , and he has done some wonderful things . Im sure someone will step in , and hope its an English team , so tht when he plays for the opposition we can show him what we really think of him .

Wasn't Kets complaining that #1m was too cheap and that was why no- one was coming in for him.

I am fond of him too but, despite some decent displays, I never thought he was good enough for the prem. I hope he finds somewhere soon.

I'd have thought that these days #1M is just about a free.

Howway, I mean, heads not hearts, the guy's a headless chicken who showed the odd flash, but never did enough to warrant being on start to finish.

We don't need that type of player, and I for one would go with Bobby's assessment. If we can get shot of Maric for #2M, it shouldn't be too much of a problem to find somebody who thinks Kets is worth #1M.

Tony, I think Kets felt he was entitled to a free transfer as he came here on a free. Not really a premiership player but scored some crucial goals and had the best ever goal celebration!

Yeah Steph, that hoarding bashing ranks along with Tino's corner flag waving. I still think he would fetch a million in todays market, so why not hold out for a couple of weeks and see what the interest is like.

as I said not good for the player and not for the clubs profile either. I would also add that I think he has a point about not even being a squad player, wrong side of thirty, still asking a mill? I also agree that he was at best a super sub, a something from nothing sort of player, but he deserves to be treated with some dignity though.

I do think that Kets is good enough for the premiership. His game has been improving for some time, and his attitude has always been excellent.

It is strange, however, how many of us seem to be growing nostelgic and bleary eyed over the signings Dalglish made. We hated them at the time.....

Ketsbaia epitomises everything that has been wrong with the club since Dalglish took over. He better than some in that he's committed, but that's all he is. I wish him well cos he hasn't been a waster but he has never been good enough for the Premiership

Apparently he played a blinder and scored twice against Berwick.

Steph
Put that down to me. He's obviously hanging on my every word and taking the 'I'll-show-that-miserable-owld-bugga' approach.
