Renee, I found a recipe for Scripture Cake. It is from a cookbook that my sister-in-law's church published. It lists the amounts from the bible with what it is in (), sorry couldn't spell the word. If this is what u are looking for, email me and I will send u the recipe. Good luck in your search.

Ask (discreetly) some of the older ladies at church. I'll bet they'll know.

Renee, I don't know if you still need to know about the funeral cake. We are from Germany and we always referred to a "Streusel cake" to be a funeral cake. Because out of Tradition it was said to be served always on those occasions. It is a cake made out of yeast with a flour, sugar, butter topping. In case you need a recipie, mail me. Birgit

I remember a funeral cake that is made with Chocolate Devils food cake mix, Chocolate pudding (makes it moist) and Chocolate chips. After its baked you sprinkle powder sugar ontop. IF any one has this recipe I wouold love to have it again. :o) Thanks
