my corn has tassels but no silks

greenspun.com : LUSENET : Countryside : One Thread

Hi there, This is only my third year gardening, and I've never seen this problem before:my corn grew so well this year, tall and green for once, the tassels are out and open;but there is not a silk to be seen.Is this normal?Should I keep waiting,or pull it up to make room for fall stuff? Thanks for reading this;I hope someone can advise me. God's blessings... ~~~Tracy~~~

I would wait a little while. If you don't see any silks in one week then I would worry. Tassles usually come out first then silks follow close behind.
