Am looking for information on the Rowland Harris Plantation which is supposed to be about two miles from Badin. Rowland Harris b 6-28-1754 and his son Daniel b 9-22-1785 are suposed to be buried there. Can anyone give me the location of the plantation and are the graves marked and accessible? Thanks

Abandoned Cemeteries of Stanly Co., page 38, included the Harris Family Cemetery. These are the directions: Located off Hwy. 8, turn on #1512 to end, past chain, right fork of logging road past west side of Old Calloway Field to 800' crest, downhill southeast to knoll. According to the transcription, Rowland Harris died Sept. 24, 1815. Daniel Harris died Jan 9, 1861. There is also a tombstone for Heathey Harris, age 50, Consort of Daniel Harris, died Dec 18, 1838.
