Wednesday, August 9, 2000High Demand Causes Power Problems Much of Tooele County was without power again Tuesday morning as Utah Power scrambled to beat a string of bad luck and keep up with power demands in the quickly-growing area. Eskelsen says they have plenty of electricity, but electric demand has been high in this summer's extended hot weather because most new homes have central air conditioning.
