Hey I read your message and I have been trying to save the rave scene in south eastern virginia, I was wondering what can I do to save this culture. Me and a large group of people really want to start an organization to save the raves. We are in a Central location so we can work on the rave scene all up and down the east coast. My email is deftone5@hotmail.com so write me back so I can get started. NRG

I live near Memphis, TN, and there is almost absolutely no rave scene here.

Hello, my name's Michael Reaves, and I'm 16 years old. I like techno, house, drum'n'bass - almost the whole dance scene. As I listen to songs I download from the 'Net, I think of how boring it is here in the small town of Collierville, and I keep thinking that since there is no scene here, I should start making a move to get it going. I have another desire, though: I want the rave scene to be as close as possible to drug- and alcohol-free. I don't know any electronica DJ's around here (although I know there are 2 or 3 that just spin for a hobby - they're pretty good at it). I was wondering how I could find some DJs to come to Memphis and play at a Save the Rave event - maybe some famous ones, and not-so-famous ones, as long as they love what they're doing and they do it good. If anyone viewing this site knows anything that might help me out, PLEASE send me an email: m_r_productions@hotmail.com

Thanks, MICHAEL REAVES MICHAEL REAVES PRODUCTIONS

***Whoever sees the following, please post it on any website you can, e-mail it to everyone you know!*** Hello, Children of Night, my brothers and sisters!!! First of all, let me extend a warm greeting and I wish you all Peace of mind. Unfortunately, for the time being, I can have no such peace of mind, and you shouldn't either...know why? Because, and I want you to get this crystal clear: OUR RAVE SCENE IS BEING DESTROYED...mass comercialism is exposing us to the media, who is destroying us because they only see the hallucinogenic, euphoric side of our scene. If we don't save the rave, it WILL die...I KNOW I am not the only one who feels this way....I can't be! Where have all my candy kids gone? Where are my PLURverts and my original B-boys? Where are my LiquidKiddz? Where are my people??? WHERE IS MY FAMILY? I know they're out there...I don't believe for a second that MY family is turning into a bunch of non-dancing zombies sitting on the floor, waiting to die! I WON'T believe that the family of ravers I spiritually grew up with, that helped me see something I never knew existed, or COULD exist, is dead. KIDS!!! We CANNOT stand by and watch our scene die out like the Beats and the Hippies and the Discotec!!! This is OUR HOUSE!!! We CAN'T let some 60 minutes or Dateline show BRUTALIZE our name! We MUST FIGHT THIS!!! The Rave WILL NOT be defeated as long as I'm alive, as long as YOU are alive...but, if you're like me, the scene IS my life! I'll be DAMNED if I'm going to let anyone take my life!!!! If you're interested in saving the rave, then e-mail me: Telektronic@aol.com Thank you.

In Peace and In Love, your brother
