WELCOME

I would like to share my passions with you. I would also like to tell you what I like in life, and in football. Regarding the + Beautiful game ;, I almost came to England in 98, before signing for Paris. The place attracted me : the country and, of course, its football. In stadiums for instance, the passion is incredible. On the pitch, I also like this + fighting spirit ; as we say in French. Newcastle was then a natural destination. Without forgetting the financial incentive, my English experience was going to be great, on a human, cultural and linguistic scale. I am going to share all my feelings with you for the end of this season. You will be the first ones to read my thoughts

Stay tuned !

A dull and dry season

To the club and to the supporters, I would say : I want to prove that I am worth it. I believe the game in England suits me. However, I do see my season as being dry and dull. I have been injured most of the time, I have followed the change of coaches (from Ruud Gullit to Bobby Robson) and I haven't been able to show my real qualities, my inner strength. That is why I now claim that Newcastle will be a different team next season. We'll fight for Europe and we won't be struggling anymore to avoid relegation. Reagrding transfer rumours, I am quite honoured some teams show an interest in me, since my season has not been that impressive. But I still have to prove something here, believe me !

Another defeat at Wembley, but cause for optimism

To get to the FA Cup Final would have been a major objective achieved. To play at Wembley again would have been a great satisfaction. We lost very narrowly to Chelsea in the semi-final (2-1), nonetheless, there is plenty of room for optimism.

There is now a real role for each of us at Newcastle. On the pitch, we exactly know what we are expected and what to do. There is a new + dynamic ; thinking. The team is going forward and the club is climbing the ladder again.

As for myself, I feel much better. I was injured for five months. My right Achilles is now fine but during all the difficult months I could only see the team from an + outsider ; point of view. The coach has given us plenty of confidence. On the pitch, where games are always difficult to win because of the physical demands, we have found this new will-power. And, now I am fit, I want to be part of the fight.

Indeed. After Paris, one of the World's most famous cities, where else can you go other than to TGC?
