Louis Saha got Fulhams promotion challenge away to a perfect start with a spectacular strike to sink outclassed Crewe.

The French striker produced a magnificent lob to net the home sides second on 73 minutes and get new boss Jean Tiganas Craven Cottage revolution underway.

Saha was Tiganas major summer buy, arriving in a #2.1m deal from Metz, and always looked the most likely scorer as Fulham dominated possession throughout. He stroked the ball over Crewe keeper Jason Kearton after controlling a measured pass from fellow newcomer John Collins.

Answers

Scoring against Crewe and Scoring against Man U are two different things Tre. Saha was OK when he was on trial, but hardly as good as Cort, Cordone or Shearer.
