Eaon flux trailers

greenspun.com : LUSENET : Aeon Flux : One Thread

In front of every Aeon Flux tape there is a promo that usually shows cut outs of what looks like different episodes. For example the 1st tape shows a big eye, soldiers walking, trevor moving on some kind of a platform, then Aeon falling down and manuvering in between multiple traps to place an explosive in the center of something and so on.

I was just wandering if anyone know that this is real cutouts from other episodes that haven't been released or just random ideas put together as an attention getter?

Sorry if this has been asked before. --max

As far as I know it is a short sequence in itself, not taken from a larger episode. It sets up the a basic character description, Trevor watching over Bregna while Aeon is doing her best to sabotage it. If Peter sees this and can correct me by saying it is from a lost episode never aired it sure would make a lot of us happy.

Yeah, it's just the opening sequence.

But as for other episodes not released Peter did once say, "By the way, as part of my involvements with Madhouse studios, before the work I did on Alexander, I did a 15 second sequence of cel animation with their staff for a t.v. commercial for the planned Aeon Flux game. It's the most elaborately produced rendition of Aeon Flux so far, and could serve as an example of how Aeon would look as an animated feature film. Since the game was never released, the commercial never made it on the air. So in case anyone's wondering if there's any Aeon Flux animation in existence not included in the three videos that have been released, the answer is yes." He stated this in the column entitled, 'To Peter Chung, the property of Aeon Flux'. He then goes on to speak of how he is soon to begin work on his project, the one where he will have total creative freedom to direct and write, and I presume, animate. Oh will that be wonderful to see, had an idea though, this will probably premier somewhere in Las Angeles, Paul, keep us posted, (as you did so nicely once before), this time, I'm buying a plane ticket and I'm coming to see it!

Yes, there was that trailer for the game but we knew about that, I think we are all hoping for some lost footage ie. The Purge etc... or a completely new LTV short that was never aired. Although seeing the game ad would be cool as well. Maybe some one could hunt it down or perhaps Peter could give us some idea of how we can find it?
