Order in the opening creditsgreenspun.com : LUSENET : ER Discussions : One Thread |
I was wondering, is there a specific reason the cast members fall in the order that they do in the opening credits? I mean, it's certainly not alphabetical, and I was thinking AE is first because a lot of people think of him as the leading actor, but why is Benton last? I never understood that.

Read the thread: Laura or Alex--Third Billing. It explains kind of why certain actors are listed in the order they're in--it isn't alphabetical.

being last billed in the credits is an honor just as first is. look at the west wing;martin sheen is last billed and he is the lead actor.

My one point five cents... I heard once upon a time that actors will negotiate to have their name listed last with words such as "and," "including," "with," etc. in the opening credits of movies. I imagine it must be the same with television.Cybercathy:)

One thing on that other thread, the cast list is obviously not in senority, because Eriq LaSalle is ALWAYS last. He has been as long as I can remember.
