A tough-ass question

greenspun.com : LUSENET : R.E.M. : One Thread

Kudos to anyone who can answer this: Just out of curiousity what single had the highest chart position on each album and what # did it reach. I know one of you guys is crazy enough about this band to answer this one.

Thanks

Hmmmm...tough one. Daysleeper got to # 7 in Ireland, Electrolite got to # 12. REM never sell big in Ireland, because of all that DANCE CRAP SHITE, y'know, the kinda shit that you would need to be on serious drugs to enjoy.Good question...sorry about the answer.

don't worry, it's not just Ireland. Here across the water, we have to put up with that unmitigated crap as well.

I meant like each single on each individual album. Like say, for example Man on the moon hit #5 on automatic, and Kenneth? hit #4 on Monster, etc., etc. I guess there was some ambiguity in my question.
