Digital Camera Mania!

Does anybody have any cool tricks and tips for using one of these things? Are you worried I'm going to bore you to tears with pictures of Vicki? And, most importantly, is there anything in particular you'd like to see pictures of?

Anything and everything pertaining to your life. I love pictures! And cats.

*evil snicker* Dario! (and Mario, of course, but mostly Dario).

Cool tip for web images - photoshop 5.5 has a "save for web" function which makes enormous bitmaps into nifty quick-loading jpegs, with the click of a mouse.

I'd also like to see more of that floor. Wow!

We did take some pictures of Dario, too, but he hated them all and refused to let me post them. You should have seen the other pictures of me--even worse than the cross-eyed one I ended up posting! It's definitely going to take some getting used to.

Not to worry, though, I'm sure there'll be plenty of pictures of Dario around once I get the hang of it. Mario will be a bit more difficult to find an excuse to photograph: "Hey, can I take your picture? I want to post it on my web page, you know, so people can print it out and stick pins in it."

I've been thinking that I'd like to take pictures to add to the guide thing I did for April & Co. That floor (and several of the others, since each room is different) is really something, isn't it? It really is pretty common in older buildings.

Right now, though, I'm off to finally do a bit of touristy stuff downtown. I'll definitely be taking pictures, as well as doing some postcards. I just hope the heat doesn't kill me before I get some good ones.

I would love to see pictures of the inside of your apartment, or your in-laws home...just to see what the decorating is like!!!

Wow, I shudder to think of anyone viewing pictures of my house believing that it has anything to do with "decorating"! Honestly, we have such a mish-mash of inherited furniture, "temporarily" purchased items that are still around years later, and stuff that has been put in a certain place only because we couldn't think of a better one... Really, there's no decorating involved.

However, I don't have a problem with posting pictures of our apartment, as long as you keep that warning in mind.

My in-laws' place is also, um, unique. My mother-in-law has a very personal taste, so again, just don't dare draw any conclusions about trends in Italian interior design from any photos you might see! For that, I have to wait until I am allowed to unveil the digital camera, which should be another month or so (unless Dario softens earlier).

We'll see.
