Likely just a lot of nonsense, but Football365 are claiming an unnamed "inside" source (har!) at Coventry saying they've put in a 3mil pound bid for Speed.

IF he and Dyer were to go, I think I'll start wondering if I've picked up Steph's jinx of being photographed with players. If that's the case, Harper, Shearer, Barton and Bobby will all be leaving next. And if the jinx continues to group photos....that's about half the squad gone soon. ;-))

I wouldn't be too sad to see any player leave. I'm a bit fed up with all of them. Football has gone dizzy. Speeds not that good really - if he's Coventry standard, do we want him. We need to scrap this mediocre image and raise the quality somewhat. Speed isn't - sorry if that goes against the grain.

Because without his 14 or so goals last season we would have been further down the table and out of the cup earlier, remember how many games he played last season for us.

Besides, who replaces him? Forgetting the usual bollocks like Guardiola and Enrique, could we do much better?

If we were offered LOTS of money and if we had a replacement who could score goals, because Speed did score a few last year, then let him go. Berkovich (or whatever) is a player I like a lot, very classy. Couldn't understand why TSM was attracted to him when that very type of player was missing from his time in charge down here. I'd still be happy if he stayed though. ( something about sitting on a fence comes to mind )
