Answers

al, did you set yourself up to be emailed whenever a response was posted to any thread? I just responded to Brian's thread and discovered that you were being sent a notice that a reply had been posted.

Just checking.

Well, al, someone did it for you. You need to check each of the current threads and delete your name from the list.

And, uh, you'll be getting about three or four email notifications about stuff I just posted.

I had a feeling you didn't do this. And whoever did is pretty low.

Actually al, all you have to do is go to the main page of the forum and click on the "alerts" link. Just enter your email address in the bottom field and click the button. You should be removed then.

There is no church out there that has it 100% right. The closest thing to 1st century Christianity is Alcoholics Anonymous and other 12 step programs like it. Anyone who thinks they are more like Christ than the other are hypocrites. But this is unavoidable because where there are people, there is hypocrisy. There is no church out there that is even remotely biblical. The only religion created by God is the Jewish religion, the same religion practiced by Jesus, Mary, Joseph, and all 12 apostles. We are not saved as groups, only as individuals, so it matters not what church you belong to or even if you belong to any in an official capacity. Most of us are just cafeteria christians anyway, picking and choosing what parts of the scriptures we will subscribe to, and making excuses why we don't subscribe to the others. We will all have much to answer for when we stand face to face with the Lord.

Greetings in the Lord: I would like to tell you that God understands your discouragement over hypocrisy today. Jesus said where two or three are gatherd in my name I will be there, not religion, Jesus name. A true believer is he who as Galtions 5:24-25 And they that are Christ's have crucified the flesh with the affection's and lusts. If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit. As a glass of water in a dsustry, dry, hot dessert, so is living by Gods Holy Spirit. Do any of you have any questions, about living in Gods SPirit, seek the truth with all your heart.

Alex,

You are just the kind of hipocrite that I am so discouraged with! John 3:16, man! WHOEVER believes! All Christians believe in Jesus. If they are doing things that you deem as sinful, does that take away their salvation. All y'all crack me up here! Do you all believe in salvation by works? You don't think that Catholics believe in Jesus? All that other stuff may or may not be superficial, but do you think it would cancel someone's salvation? Do you think that Mother Theresa is in hell? She said she saw Christ in the faces of all the poor in Calcutta? Where do you see the face of Christ? In the mirror? Take another look.
