Help! My mother has just found out she has diabetes. She loves desserts more than any person in the world, does anyone have any good sugar-free recipes that they would be willing to share? Thanks so very much!!!!!!!

This recipe was given to me by a step- grandmother. I'm not diabetic, but it is very good! Diabetic cookies

3/4 c. shortening, 1 tsp. sweet 10, 1 c. flour, 1/2 tsp. nutmeg, 1 tsp. vanilla, 1/2 c. walnuts chopped, 1/2 c. raisins or dates chopped, 2 bananas mashed, 1 tsp. baking soda, 1 egg, 1/2 tsp. cinnamon, 1/4 tsp. salt, 3/4 c. oatmeal, 1/2 c. boiling water Pour boiling water over raisins or dates, let set. Mix shotening, sweetener, egg, flour, nutmeg, salt, baking soda, and cinnamon till creamy. Add oatmeal and bananas, mix well. Add raisins or dates and nuts. Drop by tsp. full on greased cookie sheet. Bake 12 minutes at 370 degrees. (Applsauce may be used in place of bananas. If mixture is too thin, add a bit more flour.) Hope this works.
