I read the article in the September Edition of "In good Hands" - (Sydney Area Massage Therapists) with great interest....

I wish to commend Catherine Tiney and the AMTNSW executive on their initiative to set up local area meetings in the Sydney area. I think this is a very positive step in providing networking opportunities for therapists in their local area!

I guess a gut reaction for some therapists may be that other therapists in our local area are competition for clients but much can be gained by collectively marketing and sharing ideas. There is plenty of work out there if we can pool our resources!

I am in Sydney's south and would certainly be very interested in participating in a local meeting when the time comes !!

I also was very excited to read that area meetings were to be set up throughout the Sydney area. I am also most pleased that Catherine Tiney is back on board in an active role with the association, she has been an inspiration. This initiative can only help to build a greater bond between therapists and a higher profile for our profession.

Thanks for your feedback. After the Olympics the next area will be Eastern Suburbs of Sydney and I have just decided South Sydney will follow.

I am looking forward to sharing Olympic stories and learning from each other. It is so important that members feel that their Association is their voice and a way to network with other therapists.
