what do you all think? I'm doing my housework....listening to the radio...and some guy named Noah Hutchings is saying that the UN is,at this moment,sponsoring some sort of big ecumenical conference on religions ("religious summit"), also pushing through a "world parliament", etc. Please, I'm not being sarcastic. Is this the next carrot on a stick after Y2k or is there really something to this?

Beth! According to what I've been hearin this is true. We are headed towards the one world gov't that is foretold in Revelation. In the one world gov't is a one world religion and it will be run by the anti-christ. We are so close to the end of the age of Grace--I honestly think I'll be alive when Jesus Christ calls "Come up hither"! The news is kinda scary, I guess, but if one keeps their eyes on Jesus Christ and His promise, we have nothing to worry about. Matt. 24:44

Three U.N. Summits Alarm Conservatives

Austin Ruse
Tuesday, Aug. 29, 2000
A trifecta of U.N. meetings that have increasingly alarmed a broad spectrum of the American and international right began Monday in New York City. In a 13-day swing, U.N. Secretary-General Kofi Annan, media mogul Ted Turner, New Age Canadian billionaire Maurice Strong and former Soviet leader Mikel Gorbachev will host meetings to promote "global governance."

International thinkers no longer talk about One World Government, since that term has come into great disfavor. Global governance is the new term and means the tying together of men and governments through charters, treaties and evolving international standards that cannot be enforced. Not yet, anyway.

The first of the three meetings began Monday at U.N. headquarters with a "walking meditation and solemn procession into the General Assembly hall." The World Peace Summit of Religious and Spiritual Leaders will bring together up to 1,000 representatives of dozens of faith traditions including Christianity, Judaism, Islam, and also less-known groups practicing Jainism, Zoroastrianism and "indigenous religions."

The World Peace Summit intends to create a permanent body that will advise the United Nations on religious and spiritual matters. World Peace Summit personnel say they will also be available to "parachute" into crisis situations.

More orthodox believers remain suspicious of the summit because Ted Turner, a frequent critic of Christianity, is promoting it. Some believe the permanent advisory council will be used by U.N. bureaucrats to ignore or belittle the voices of more orthodox believers who have won considerable victories at recent U.N. conferences.

Next Monday in New York City begins the seven-day State of the World Forum, a meeting of world leaders from government, business and "civil society." Now in its fifth year, the State of the World Forum was created by Mikhail Gorbachev to advance a mostly left- leaning agenda and to gather "the creative genius of the human family, its elders and innovators, in search for solutions to the critical challenges facing humanity in the 21st century." Organizers call it "a powerful common evolutionary enterprise for our species."

< snip... >

The meeting that has really roiled the American right begins Sept. 6 and runs for three days. The Millennium Summit will bring together up to 150 heads of state in what is purported to be the largest such gathering in history.

I have links discussing that this meeting will establish a permanent standing U.N. army, make gun registration mandatory, establish a U.N. bank with U.N. currency, and bring all international financial institutions under U.N. control. Its real, its here, and the "black helicopter" bunch was right all along.

I've seen the same reports on news max. It's really scary!

World bank, world courts, a standing U.N. Army! Oh boy!

Joel, are you there? What's your input?

To better understand prophecy, you might want to listen to Hal Lindsey or Jack Van Impe. They are on TBN and other stations. It's amazing how many predictions are coming to pass. The Left Behind series is a good place to begin. Yes, they're novels, but they certainly give you food for thought.

>From Rayelan Allan, author of Diana, Queen of Heaven -- The New World Religion

Shortly after Princess Diana was murdered, I received a telephone call from an anonymous source. I was told that Diana was murdered by the NWO so they could use her image and memory to usher in the New World Religion. It appears as if the information I received in 1997 is about to be implimented. I have enclosed an alert regarding a United Nations meeting which will take place this August 28. It is my belief that the hidden agenda of this meeting will be to usher in the New World Religion -- one that is based on the Goddess Diana -- an ancient feminine deity. The New World Religion will be a combination of Maurice Strong's Agenda 21 -- which was the blueprint for today's environmental movement, and Mao's version of communism.

In my book, Diana, Queen of Heaven, I stated there was a short path to the New World Religion and a long one. The long path would take about 100 years and be implimented through social conditioning. The short path could happen at anytime and be implimented through catastrophic earth changes and holographic images (Project Bluebeam) of religious figures beamed from sattelites.

If the United Nations is planning to use the August 28th meeting to lay down the groundwork for the New World Religion, then it is my belief that someone has made the decision that the "fast track" method, i.e. wars, pestilence, earthquakes, meteor strikes, massive diseases and possibly even a simulated "alien" attack -- is the method the NWO has chosen to usher in the New World Religion.

They will also give me (Rayelan -- my identifying email address for Paypal and X.com is rayelan@aol.com) $10.00 if you join both of them.

The cost of the book is $10.00 plus $3.50 shipping. If you join Paypal or X.com, I will waive the shipping cost because I will be receiving at least $5.00 from either Paypal or X.com which will cover the cost of shipping -- But the real EXCITING NEWS IS -- If you join both Paypal and X.com -- You will be getting the book FREE!!! >From the following message about the United Nations August 28th meeting, you will see that finally, other people are waking up to what Rumor Mill News readers have known for quite some time -- the New World Order is trying to shove a New World Religion down our throats -- and they are going to lay the groundwork in just a few days.

Beginning on August 28, just a few days from now, the United Nations will convene the Millennium Peace Summit of Religious and Spiritual Leaders, in New York.

This assembly of over 1,000 "religious?" leaders from around the world is leading to the definition and eventual imposition of a One World (paganistic) Religion under the United Nations.

WHY WAS PRINCESS DIANA MURDERED? http://www.dianaqueenofheaven.com

-- Cher Rovang (fullcircle@nidlink.com), August 29, 2000.

This legislation, like so much like it, is being used in the name of the American people, by way of: "The President shall direct the United States representative to the United Nations to use the voice, vote, and influence of the United States to urge the United Nations--." And item (10) of the Bill states the US may veto anything not in the interests of the US. But, since when in living memory, has any administration in the last 5-8, done anything purely in the interests of the people under their own long established sets of laws, when building this international order?

The heads of state of the G-8 meeting also called for this little detail of international intrigue, (rapid deployment for conflict Prevention) to be legitimized and quickley operating. You can read their deliberation at their site, then see the U.S. legislation that the people's representatives support, in fact readied, (see below), to empower the UN international order--disorder, in fact.

But first, and from the SPOTLIGHT, "under the act, the president is to direct his UN representatives to encourage the UN to develop the force under the authority of the Security Council." Cozy, when you recall that there are only five powerful nations in the UN Security Council to contend with, with any opposition and "the force would be deployed only by Security Council resolution." `The Bill is a result of President Clinton's Presidential Decision Directive 71, which has never been released to the public because of `national security.' The Bill calls for `a stronger United States response to maintaining order in societies recovering from conflict.' Starting with these 6000 in this initial force, you will see that the the vast UN peacekeeping force will be systematically transformed into a professional fighting force. The UN is revamping the mandate of UN peacekeepers from mere sightseeing humanoids, to tough rambos. If passed, the legislation will "improve coordination of US efforts and enhance the ability of other countries, the UN, and regional organizations, [such as NATO] to plan, mount and sustain operations in support of the rule of [INTERNATIONAL] law." NOTE: there's nothing in this proposed legislation, that prohibits "explicitly" these US taxpayer funded and trained mercenaries under international law, from practicing their international boss's orders in the US. Someplace(s) US could be one or more of those "societies recovering from conflict" and "in need" of the UN rapid deployment Police and Security Force. ..."The international community needs to identify and train units that are able to control crowds, deter vigilante actions, prevent looting and disarm civilian agitators..." ac

HR 4453 IH

106th CONGRESS

2d Session

H. R. 4453

To encourage the establishment of a United Nations Rapid Deployment Police and Security Force.

IN THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES

May 15, 2000

Mr. MCGOVERN (for himself, Mr. PORTER, and Mrs. MORELLA) introduced the following bill; which was referred to the Committee on International Relations

A BILL

To encourage the establishment of a HR 4453 IH

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled,

SECTION 1. SHORT TITLE.

This Act may be cited as the `United Nations Rapid Deployment Police and Security Force Act of 2000'.

SEC. 2. FINDINGS.

The Congress finds the following:

(1) United States Presidential Decision Directive 71 calls for a stronger United States response to maintaining order in societies recovering from conflict. It aims to improve coordination of United States efforts and to enhance the ability of other countries, the United Nations, and regional organizations to plan, mount, and sustain operations in support of the rule of law.

(2) In a press briefing on February 24, 2000, Secretary of State Madeleine Albright stated the following: `The recent slowness in deploying desperately needed civilian police to Kosovo provides only the latest evidence that present international capabilities are not adequate. And the ongoing deployment of CIVPOL teams to East Timor and Sierra Leone show that the need will not soon diminish. In response, we must recognize that old models of peacekeeping don't always meet current challenges. Peace operations today often require skills that are neither strictly military nor strictly police but, rather, a combination of the two. The international community needs to identify and train units that are able to control crowds, deter vigilante actions, prevent looting and disarm civilian agitators while, at the same time, winning the trust of the communities in which they are deployed.'.

(3) In his April 2000 report, `We the Peoples, The Role of the United Nations in the 21st Century', United Nations Secretary General Kofi Annan states that only member nations of the United Nations can fix the `structural weakness of United Nations peace operations . . . Our system for launching operations has sometimes been compared to a volunteer fire department, but that description is too generous. Every time there is a fire, we must first find fire engines and the funds to run them before we can start dousing any flames. The present system relies almost entirely on last minute, ad hoc arrangements that guarantee delay, with respect to the provision of civilian personnel even more so than military. Although we have understandings for military standby arrangements with Member States, the availability of the designated forces is unpredictable and very few are in a state of high readiness. Resource constraints preclude us even from being able to deploy a mission headquarters rapidly.'.

(4) The December 1999 United Nations `Report on the Independent Inquiry into the Actions of the United Nations During the 1994 Genocide in Rwanda' indicates that in April 1994, the United Nations Security Council failed to deploy 5,500 United Nations peacekeepers to Rwanda within two weeks of the initial violence, thereby allowing the conflict to escalate. The 6-month estimated cost of the deployment would have been $115,000,000. Instead, the genocide consumed 800,000 lives along with $2,000,000,000 in humanitarian aid.

(5) In Srebrenica, Bosnia, on July 11, 1995, Bosnian Serb troops forced the retreat of Dutch United Nations peacekeepers who were part of the United Nations Mission in Bosnia and Herzegovina (UNMIBH) from a `safe haven', resulting in the massacre of 7,000 Bosnian civilians and expulsion of 40,000 Bosnian civilians.

(6) The United Nations peacekeeping budget estimate for the United Nations Mission in Bosnia and Herzegovina from July 1, 1997, to June 30, 1998, was $165,600,000, while the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO)- sponsored intervention in the Serbian province of Kosovo cost $37,000,000 per day.

(7) In July 1999, 4,700 civilian police officers were requested to be deployed to the Serbian province of Kosovo but, as of April 17, 2000, the United Nations has deployed only 2,901 of the requested police officers, resulting in the breakdown of law and order and the escalation of unrest in Kosovo.

(8) In May 2000, Revolutionary United Front rebels in Sierra Leone, in violation of the ceasefire and peace accords, captured and held prisoner approximately 500 United Nations Mission in Sierra Leone (UNAMSIL) peacekeepers. The weapons, equipment, and vehicles of the peacekeepers were also seized. The UNAMSIL force had been deployed too slowly and was undertrained and understaffed, consisting of only 8,700 peacekeepers of the 11,000 peacekeepers requested by the United Nations Security Council.

(9) On February 24, 2000, the United Nations Security Council approved a United States-sponsored proposal to send 5,537 troops on an observer mission to the Democratic Republic of the Congo (to be known as the United Nations Organization Mission in the Democratic Republic of the Congo (MONUC)), a Republic 1/3 the size of the United States, to monitor the implementation of the Lusaka accords. However, it will take at least three months to deploy the required forces. On April 25, 2000,

South African Foreign Minister Dlamini-Zuma urged rapid deployment of the troops and stated `[i]f deployment is very slow [the accords] can fall apart . . . The troops should have been deployed a long time ago.'.

(10) The United States has the power in the United Nations Security Council to veto decisions that are not within the national interests of the United States.

SEC. 4. ESTABLISHMENT OF A UNITED NATIONS RAPID DEPLOYMENT POLICE AND SECURITY FORCE.

(a) ESTABLISHMENT- The President shall direct the United States representative to the United Nations to use the voice, vote, and influence of the United States to urge the United Nations--

(1) to establish a United Nations Rapid Deployment Police and Security Force that is rapidly deployable, under the authority of the United Nations Security Council, and trained to standardized objectives;

(2) to recruit personnel to serve in this Force; and

(3) to provide equitable and reliable funding for the United Nations Rapid Deployment Police and Security Force.

(b) MISSION STATEMENT- The United Nations Rapid Deployment Police and Security Force should have a mission statement that provides for the following:

(1) The United Nations Rapid Deployment Police and Security Force will engage in operations when--

(A) the United Nations Security Council determines that an imminent threat to the peace requires a preventive deployment of forces and the Security Council deems it as an appropriate response;

(B) the United Nations Security Council determines ongoing gross violations of human rights or breaches of the peace require rapid intervention by the international community and the Security Council deems it as an appropriate response;

(C) peace has been restored to a region but the rule of law has not yet been reestablished and when national civilian police or United Nations member nations personnel are not available and the Security Council deems it as an appropriate response; or

(D) the United Nations Rapid Deployment Police and Security Force can utilize its personnel to help train the military and civilian police of member nations of the United Nations to better participate in international peace operations.

(2) The United Nations Rapid Deployment Police and Security Force will consist of not more than 6000 personnel who are--

(A) placed under the authority of the United Nations Security Council;

(B) under the direction of the Secretary General of the United Nations;

(C) deployed only by United Nations Security Council resolution;

(D) volunteers from United Nations member nations employed directly by the United Nations;

(E) trained as a single unit, appropriately equipped, expressly for international peace operations including civilian policing; and

(F) rapidly deployable.

(3) The United Nations Rapid Deployment Police and Security Force will be organized as a sub-department within the United Nations Department of Peacekeeping Operations or under the control of the United Nations's Military Staff Committee and will contain personnel trained as military staff officers and civilian police officers to be deployed immediately to a potential conflict area.

(4) The deployment of the United Nations Rapid Deployment Police and Security Force will be limited to a maximum of 6 months, at which time the Police and Security Force would be replaced by personnel supplied by United Nations member nations.

(5) The basing and infrastructure service of the United Nations Rapid Deployment Police and Security Force will be leased from existing member nations' institutions.

SEC. 5. REPORT ON UNITED NATIONS RAPID DEPLOYMENT POLICE AND SECURITY FORCE.

Not later than 1 year after the date of enactment of this Act, the President shall prepare and transmit to the Congress a report on the progress of negotiations with the United Nations and its member nations regarding the creation of a United Nations Rapid Deployment Police and Security Force described in section 3.

SEC. 6. DEFINITIONS.

In this Act:

(1) The term `international peace operations' means--

(A) any such operation carried out under chapter VI or chapter VII of the Charter of the United Nations; and

(B) any such United Nations operation that includes civilian policing.

(2) The term `rapidly deployable' refers to the capacity to deploy military or civilian personnel to a region undergoing conflict within 15 days of the enactment of a United Nations Security Council resolution authorizing a deployment.

END

USA just needs to get out of the UN! The world is getting more scary all the time. But God will fix things in the end as another countrysider has already said.

-- Brian (thebirdman67@hotmail.com), August 29, 2000.

Quite some time ago I read a news clip that told of the thoughts of one of our former well respected newscasters. He was pushing for world peace through the one government idea. I lost all respect for him when I read this. How could this man that has broadcast from many nations under many circumstances advocate one government? Has he not seen the differences in cultures and know that one government could not rule properly for all peoples?

Over the last year I've questioned many things that I've read on the Net but have not been able to confirm. I've read that Germany has been allowed to build, supply, and staff an airbase in the United States. It is supposedly in Arizona. How about it, is there one there under the guise of a training base? I've read that many of our National Parks no longer fly the U.S. flag, but instead fly the United Nations flag. Since I've not been traveling for quite a while now, I can't confirm this. Can any of you? I've also seen on the Net, photos that are said to be of United Nations vehicles being unloaded on U.S. soil. While visiting the web site I suddenly lost my ISP connection, something extremely unusual. Perhaps I was being a little paranoid, but it did make me wonder if Big Brother could be monitoring who all was visiting the site, and had somehow disconnected me. I never revisited the web site for another look. I also saw a photo on the Net of a dedication plaque in the Denver Airport that spoke of the airport as being part of the New World Airport Authority, or something similar. I can't find the url at the moment to get the correct wording.

While we all need to take everything with a grain of salt, we do need to keep on our toes to what is going on in the world around us and search out the truth of the matter. Are we headed for one government world wide? I can't imagine that U.S. citizens would stand for it, but only time will tell what will take place in the years to come.

Learn the difference between paranoia and being cautious. Stay alert friends.

I have a couple of things to say on this subject. First of all i have to say that if you sleep with snakes you are likely to get bit. America has been sleeping with a whole den of them for at least 8 years. I am going to have to do a little cut and pasting because there are several things that have come across AboutFreedom in the last several days you all need to know about. I guess I'll put them here.

From The Idaho Observer - Email: observer@dmi.net

Pro-American groups all over the nation are pooling their resources to coordinate three days of protest over the gathering of a "Millennium Assembly" September 6-10, 2000, at UN headquarters in New York City. The assembly is expected to be the largest ever gathering of world leaders under one roof. Leaders from all 188 UN member nations are expected to attend. On the agenda for this historic event is the adoption of a revised version of the UN Charter--the Charter for Global Democracy--which calls for the massive restructuring and strengthening of UN authority worldwide. Millennium Assembly organizers have also announced that the UN will unveil plans intended to expedite the implementation of one-world governance.

Among the items the assembly intends to address is the creation of a global IRS that would tax email communications and international money transfers and place a worldwide tax on energy products. The tax revenue will be used to fund World Trade Organization control of international commerce through World Bank influence over the global economy.

Former Soviet dictator-turned-environmentalist Mikhail Gorbechev of the Green Cross Family is scheduled to open the Peoples' Millennium Assembly September 4 at the New York Hilton. The Peoples' Millennium Assembly is scheduled to last until September 10 and will be used as a forum to convince people to appreciate a world bank, participate in a world economy and espouse a world religion. Assembly participants will also be told that it is in the best interests of the world's peoples that a standing UN army be empowered to enforce international law and that people who violate international law should be prosecuted in the UN International Criminal Court.

The Idaho Observer, The American Media Association, The American Policy Center, The Restoring America Committee and Detroit talk show host Tom Wayne are just a few of the pro-American entities that are coordinating a massive, nationwide protest of the UN agenda for global governance and U.S. involvement in UN activities. Schedule of protest events:

September 6: National protests will begin all over the nation at high noon local time in front of district offices for members of the U.S. Congress. The purpose of these rallies will be to peacefully demand congressional support for Rep. Ron Paul's (R-Texas) American Sovereignty Restoration Act, HR 1146, which, if passed, would effectively cease all American participation in UN activities and remove all U.S. funding from the global socialist organization. Wayne is organizing demonstrations scheduled to take place in front of the UN building in New York City beginning September 6.

September 7: There will be a national call-in to the Washington, D.C. capitol switchboard. This will also begin at high noon local time. The purpose of this call-in will be to let everybody on Capitol Hill know that Americans are opposed to trading national sovereignty for global governance. At this time, the toll-free number for the Senate is: 1-800-962-3524; the toll-free number for the House is: 1-800- 972- 3524. In the event that those numbers are changed, Capitol Hill can be reached at: 202-224-3121.

September 8: Tom DeWeese of the American Policy Center plans to hold a press conference that describes the events of the previous two days and to explain to the American public why, "This is not your father's UN." A room on Capitol Hill has already been secured for the press conference. Representatives Paul and Helen Chenoweth-Hage have agreed to speak at the press conference. DeWeese will deliver to Congress 250,000 petitions that support Rep. Paul's HR 1146 in defiance of the UN's globalist intentions. Most Americans are oblivious of the truly despotic intentions of the global elite who support global governance through UN "peacekeeping" activities. The press conference will concisely and eloquently inform the American public of our collective peril if we continue to support the creation of one-world government through the UN.

What to do:

* Organize a group to converge on the district office of the U.S. representative and senator closest to you at noon your time on September 6. Make signs. Call your local media outlets and tell them what you intend to do. Peacefully insist that your representative support HR 1146.

* Coordinate letters-to-the-editor writing campaigns among your fellow activists over the several days before during and after the Millennium Assembly. Make sure that you hit the same points several times so that the local readers begin to understand the truth about the UN. Contact local talk radio and calmly inform people about the UN and the significance of the Millennium Assembly.

* Beginning at noon your time September 7, call your representative and senator in Washington, D.C. by locating him through the capitol switchboard at the numbers given above.

* Coordinate your efforts through the contact numbers given below. This is a loosely organized schedule of protest events that will succeed if groups of concerned Americans all over the nation to take it upon themselves to organize their friends and associates to participate in peaceful nationwide protest of the global socialists' intentions to destroy American sovereignty. Make no mistake, the purpose of the Millennium Assembly is to usher in the age of global governance that global socialists have been building toward since long before the UN was born. Protesting the UN at the same time the Millennium Assembly is in session may be the greatest opportunity we will ever have to stop the UN in its tracks and gain momentum for getting the U.S. out of the UN.

For more information contact the following: Don Harkins, The Idaho Observer/The American Media Association: (208) 255-2307 Tom DeWeese, The American Policy Center: (703) 925-0882 Joe Larson, Committee to Restore the Constitution: (573) 793-3156 Ben Hinkle, Citizens for Liberty: (360) 734-0193 Tom Wayne: (616) 665-7168

If anybody doubts the intentions of the UN and the significance of the Millennium Assembly that is looming less than one month away, contact any of the people listed above-they will be happy to point you in the direction of proof that American sovereignty must be traded for the UN's despotic intentions to succeed. You can also call the office of your local U.S. Representative and ask to see a copy of HR 4453. The bill, which is the opposite of Rep. Paul's proposed Sovereignty Restoration Act, has a lot of support in Congress and promises U.S. support and participation in the creation of a standing UN army that will be given the authority to police "crisis" on U.S. soil.

Hi NotForProfit, It does seem hard to think the American people would stand for it, but if it's in their best interest, they go for anything. i.e. money! As for the New World Order, or whatever they're calling it now, I say let them at it. If it's meant to happen, it will. I worried about Y2K all the time, but since that time, I have learned a valuable lesson. I can't change Gods' plan. I am at peace, have a strong faith, and if this is the path we're going down, I'm spiritually ready for whatever is thrown my way.

My favorite prophesy preachers is Irvin Baxter, Jr. He was the one that predicted the fall of the Berlin Wall. He is NOT a one worlder, but he managed to recieve an invitation to founding of the United Religions Initiative at Carnegie Hall on June 26, 2000. On hand were Christians, Buddhists, Muslems, Jews, Wiccans, and others. The charter that gave birth to the global religious organization was signed on the 55th birthday of the United Nations constitution. A phone call from the United Nations was amplified on the PA, giving congratulations on the founding of UnitedReligions, and giving evidence of the close relationship between the two.

If you are a conservative Christian, the discription of the ceremony, complete with Hindu meditations, will give you the willies. If you want to check out the United Nations site, the leader of the chat room is a Wiccan high priestess--a witch. UGGH.

If you are intersted, Baxter has a Christian website at http://www.endtime.com . Go to past articles, and get an eye full. He'll send you a free copy of his Endtime magizine, too. While I don't believe totally everything he teacher, he has more on the ball than a LOT of others out there. And he makes a LOT of sense. These ARE the end times.

Cher & Little Bit,

"(B) any such United Nations operation that includes civilian policing. "

Ive been trying to convince people that the joint civilian supression operations carried out by US and the old Soviet Union were not as innocent as many believed. I told all kinds of people each of the dozen or so times that an American city was attacked during an "urban exercise" that they had better wake up because something very wrong with the whole idea of the military being involved in air cav assault versions of "civilian policing". I would generally get a look that was normally reserved for the guy wearing a sandwich board standing on a corner. Most dont want to believe it.

Im glad to know that Im not alone.

When we lived in Colorado, in Fountain which is south a little from Colorado Springs, we lived near an Army base. On this base were many people from many other countries than ours. Britain and Russia come to mind fast. Also, during the Bosnian situation, they erected a village to imitate conditions that the soldiers would have to be under. They imported civilians to act as Bosnian civilians.

I've heard reports of Russian transports being offloaded in Mississippi. And so many other things...

I think Americans should not get paranoid, but we sure better wake up and smell the coffee. I believe in our Lord and Saviour and even tho I have a good supply of supplies, if He comes and takes us, there will be that for those who remain. If for some reason the rapture doesn't happen...well, we'll have a little bit to live on for awhile.

I think we should take one day at a time. Keep faith in whatever we deem our God to be and take action.

Don't wait for someone else to call your congressman on Tuesday...do it yourself. Heck, it's an 800 number ...won't even cost you anything!...'cept time. Get your whole office or where ever your workplace is. Get them all to do it..

Come on America!!! Let's get on this!!

And for heaven's sake..and the sake of all our children and grandchildren...PRAY!

Idaho Cher

to better understand prophesy couldn't we read the bible(KJV) ourselves instead of having it interpreted to us from someone on tv? just a thought.

wow! you folks sure give me an earful! (smile). But again i would ask...whats the deal on the religious summit? And the pope being a key player-is this true? Private responses would be ok...I know thats a sensitive question...i am not Catholic; but visit a Catholic church.

Baxter believes (and has the scripture to back him up) that the anti- christ will be supported by a "religious" person of tremendous prestege--and the discriptions sounds very much like the Pope. The Catholics themselves have a prophesy that in the latter days there will be a "bad" pope...one that does not keep to the Church beliefs, and is evil. So if we wonder about the pope, it isn't because we are anti-catholic. The Catholics are wondering themselves. I don't believe that it is the present Pope; I think he and a lot of the Catholic church higher-ups have been duped into the "one world, it's all for the cause of peace" propaganda; and there are a lot of god Catholic people out there. Besides, the present pope is elderly and ill; many wonder if the "evil pope" of prophesy will be the next one. Guess we'll wait and see.

Let's see now, the U.N. Rapid Deployment Force.......

If I were given command, I'd want complete battalion components from host countries. For central European hot spots, give me Italian, French and British elite infantry units with logistical support from the Germans. For central and southern Africa, give me the South Africans with backup support from Rowanda. For Southeast Asia, the Thais and Aussies. The Middle East is very volatile, but there is mutual respect for the professionalism of the Turks. Also, Israeli intelligence, absolutely. Second to none.

Now, how to pacify the paranoid Americans? Have the Rapid Force stationed in Malta or Crete. That's in the middle of the Mediterranian, which puts it thousands of miles closer to most of the hot spots than stationing it in Arizona or Texas. It makes military and logistical sense to do so. And if it's absolutely necessary for the U.S. to get involved, then the U.S. Navy can supply an amphibious assault ship to carry the UN force nearer to a hot spot and stay the heck out of the fighting.

BTW - The resolution calls for a UN force of 6,000 troops. The New York Police Dept has 38,000 police. Who do you think would win in a fight in Central Park?

Does the U.S. have foreign military personnel stationed here. Hell yes. Predominately for fighter pilot training. We use to train foreign pilots in the F-5 (puchased from the U.S.) at Shepherd AFB in TX and German pilots in the F-104 (their aircraft since the U.S. had phased ours out) at Luke AFB in AZ. The reason - wide open flying and testing ranges, unlike crowded Europe. When I worked as a civilian for the AF, I spent several years in foreign military sales as the logistics country manager for Japan. They were buying the F- 15 from us. We developed a program to train their pilots in their aircraft in Florida, but it fell through since the U.S. imposed Japanese Constitution forbids foreign deployments. Do UN troops come to train in the U.S. Yes. Why, because it will be deployed as a joint force and coordination and understanding of polices and procedures is essential. I see nothing cynical about this. One world government - no way. One world religion - no way. Nelson Rockerfellow was suspose to be the driving force behind the one world government. He is long dead. Someday Ted Turned and Gorbevhav will be dead and there still will be no one world government. Hell, how many countries cannot even agree on one country government.

But then, just because you are paranoid doesn't mean someone is not out to get you.
