Gene,

It was 106.1 here today, have no idea what the heat index was. Been that way for about 3 weeks, and no let up in sight. Try to stay cool.

Well, Donna and Gene, we sure wish you could send us some of that heat..... It looks like our summer ended August 15th, and it's been rainy or cool and overcast each day since then. Oh the sun has come out a couple times, but not enough to be very warm.

Summer clothes will be packed away and the sweaters brought out very soon, of course, some sweaters stay in the wardrobe year long, and have been using them since summer ended.

We can hope for an indian summer, but it'll be just that.

Very busy with carpenter ant destruction replacement, and then we will add a greenhouse to protect against this damage in the future. I imagine I will be very busy with my caulk gun over the entire holiday weekend.......

Will try not to fall off the 2nd story deck.....

Well sis, wish I could send you some of this heat. Yesterday we reached 106.6 when they were calling for 102. Today they are calling for 111, so no telling what it will actually be. Currently it is 10:35 in the morning, and already 95.6. How many degrees do you want me to send ya?

Oh yeah, be careful doing your housework. Try to have fun.

Hi Donna, How about 20 degrees daily for as long as you have extra? I really like 80 degrees here, then it's just heavenly!

sis,

I'm walking outside right now. I'll take a DEEP breath and blow it all your way. Now you need to run outside and see if you can feel the blast hitting ya!

WE GOT RAIN!!!!!!!! .........

YaY!!! Whoop, whoop, yell, yell, clap, clap.

(not enough to stop the drought = we're still -14.5 inches for the year, and haven't mafe up for last year's shortfall, but at least things are a little bit green.

(Might even have to mow the lawn if it rains again soon. Haven't run it yet this year.)

Greetings to you too! ;-D

I accomplished very little yesterday... in keeping with my don't labor on "Labour" Day (Brit spelling) policy.

Did that mean Diane was green with envy, ivy, or just being mossy?

Wow, how nice to see everyone here! (Well, there are still a few missing... Cascadians? Rob?... )

I hope every one had a wonderful weekend. I did (out your way, Sis, and at that it was warmer there, than here)!

Robert,

Perhaps it's just a result of growthing mold in a muggy climate.

;-D

(Or we shouldn't let my Crayola Crayons out of the box! Gayla originally taught me to play in colours !!!).
