Do the sparkly orbitting thingees stay or do they go? Are they too distracting, or are they fun, or do you use Netscape and can't see 'em and/or don't care?--Al

First, yes you can see them in Netscape. I don't know what they look like in IE, but they look like teeny colored dots. As for whether they stay or go, it makes me no nevermind. They aren't distracting, necessarily (except for those of us with fading eyesight who wonder, at first, what NEW eye quirk we've developed). Mostly, it's a non-issue, IMHO.

It's okay. Not too distracting. What I find more uh... *ahem* annoying (sorry, Al) is the way it takes me a whole 3 more seconds longer to get to your web page due to that java script curtain thingy that pulls apart diagnonally or vertically or whatever...

Love ya!

Well, yesterday they really bothered me. Today, they were a mild annoyance. By this time next week, I would probably be disappointed if they ~weren't~ there.... and yes, one can definitely see them with Netscape.

The sparklies are okay, I don't care one way or the other. But I really have enjoyed the nifty opening screen. It does so many variations, it hardly ever repeats.

Ok - I have to be the voice of negativity here.

Way too distracting. I was actually getting dizzy reading the entry and when I was done I kept seeing the dots in front of my eyes. I wouldn't mind them on the main page, cause it's kind of fun to look at. For a second.

spottily yours,

The sparklies don't bother me at all.

I am a dork, I like them.

I think they are kinda neato. And when I don't want to see them, I move my mouse to the side of the screen.. Simple as that..

And I couldn't see them in Netscape.. I had to switch to IE.. what the hell is that? :)

As one who is on Webtv, I ask, what sparkels ?

-- Denver doug (ionoi@webtv.net), September 05, 2000.

I can see them in Netscape and they bother me. Sorry, Al, but I find them very distracting. Makes me want to swat at them.

They might be ok on the opening page, since I don't spend more than 30 seconds on that page. Because, in the end, it's all about me. ;D

Sorry but I find them to be very distracting. After spending all day on the computer at work the movement is really tiring on the eyes.

I'd have to give a thumbs-down. A distraction. But I'm not a fan of any sorts of foo-haa, so take that with a grain of salt.

Once I was sure you were doing it on purpose, I decided I kinda like them.
