Best suggestion for developer

Hi all! I have not been to the message board lately, benn busy building my new darkroom, will be done and operational next week.

Current problem, I have 4 rolls of Ilford 3200 that I shot at my sons football game last night, I realize that there are better developers available for this film, but all I currently have available is D-76 and TMAX.

I have used D-76 (Straight) with this film and it was ok (grain is not a major concern in these pictures, although the smaller the better of course).

I would however welcome any input as to the use of the TMAX developer with this film (The Masive Dev. chart shows it 1-4 for 8.5 min) Should I expect any great difference?

Thanks for the help!

Jeff

Hi:

I would use XTOL 1:2 for this film, as stated in the MDC. Had good results with it.

I have had good results with D3200 (1200) developed i TMax developer to Ilford's recommendations. John

Best would be Ilford DD-X or Ilford Microphen. They should be readily available. And Microphen comes in 1 qt packages, so you don't have to get a lot.
