Barton out for a month

greenspun.com : LUSENET : Unofficial Newcastle United Football Club BBS : One Thread

rik is reporting on his NTL site that Wor Bartinho did his groin in at training and will be out for a month.

If true we'll see a lot more of Charvet and Griffin. And possibly one of the Caldwell brothers on the bench.

The Newcastle injury jinx is sure back on form this season!

If you ask any supporter, they all reckon that their team has an injury jinx. But is it me, or do we have more than our fair share? Clearly we don't show show the same interest in other clubs, but bliddy hell we do have loads

The worst thing is the fact that a good proportion don't come from games but from training!

With the injury records of both Charvet and Griffin, we could be seeing a fair bit of Ryan McGuffie as well! I hope Domi is fit enough to play on Saturday. Keep the back four as settled as we can.

The Journal seem to be suggesting that he's injured as well. He's appeared in a lot of team picks on the other thread!!

Metro Radio say Barton is out for a month but Domi will be playing. Rob Lee also unlikely to play tomorrow.

Hmmmm... Domi for Barton I can see but if Lee plays I guess Cort won't start. Best go and change the team pick!

Geordie, you're getting confused! Lee out, Cort in!

Good point Steph. I don't start my remedial reading classes until next week.
DOH!

Aye - and apparently Bobby Lee isn't the only one who can't make it to The Dell this weekend......!

Rik { NTLSPORTS.COM} is reporting that Cort will be on the bench and that Griffin will start instead of Domi. Now where's that team shirt total number predictions thread?

As Grant said the other day, it makes you wonder if our physios/whoever works out the training schedules are shite.

I think we do have it pretty bad, but we're not the only ones - e.g. Leeds aren't having the best of luck either.
