On August 28,00 my friend and I on a visit from Olympia, Washington rode the "Silver Palm" from TPA to MIA and back. We were pleasantly suprised to ride in Diner #8528 both ways. Can anyone tell me the heritage of this car? Thanks Bob B.

The 8528 is the former Amtrak 8063 and former SP 10213. A 48 seat diner built by Budd in 1950 on plan/order 9624-040.
