One thing I HATE is how catalog companies charge so much for shipping & handling. Well, I just placed my first Jeffer's order, and was very surprised & happy to be told that there was no shipping fee since my order was over $50! If I'm happy with the stuff when it gets here, effer's will have a dedicated new customer. They've been great on the phone when I've called, too.

Shannon, which catalog was it? I have the one for dogs/cats here and it says $7.95 shipping on orders over $50. Was it a special for first orders? Wow, no shipping would be nice.

Jeffers is great! But anything with a pet prefix on the catalog number is taxed, even when sent with a livestock order, mostly because pet items are taxed while livestock comes under farm on the tax roll. Vicki

Nevermind, I answered my own question. The "farm" one says no shipping over $50. Oh, well.

They do let you order pet supplies with your livestock order tho, so you don't have to pay the shipping fee. I always combine mine that way and they never say a thing. Just look at both catalogs to get the item #s then total it and send it in as a livestock order. I can't remember if they charged me tax on the pet stuff tho. Do they hve a web page yet?
