Thank you for prayers for Montana Fires

greenspun.com : LUSENET : A.M.E. Today Discussion : One Thread

I just want to thank all of you for your prayers and private messages to me and for our Bishop John Bryant during recent Montana fires. The fires are out! And today (thursday, most of Montana is getting a big snow storm. So things are looking great.) We have two AME churches in Montana, and the churches were not in direct danger, though Wayne Chapel in Billings, Montana was an hour away from a town that had a major fire, and people from that town were evacuated to Billings. Wayne Chapel did donate money to the Red Cross for fire fighting efforts. I live in Bozeman, which is one hour from Yellowstone national park, and my county did see some major fires and evacuations. I am on the Red Cross Disaster Team, so we were pretty busy. Our state is facing tremendous economic recovery that is estimated well into the millions. The AME church presence in Montana is strong. Again thank you for the prayers and concern, I really feel a part of a fantastic extended family. P.S A special thank you to our resident Prayer Warrior Rev. Al Paris from the tenth district for organizing a special prayer chain. Rev. Al you rock! Rev. Denise Rogers
