Hello, well my answer to that question is that there are many ways, and easy way and is about 75% accurate is a thread and needle. You hold a needle at the end of the thread so it dangles then hold it over the birds head if it swings back and forth in a straight line then it is a male if is goes in a circle then it is a female.

Another way is to look at them, a male has a broader head than a female as well as the male also has wider shoulders. The female if look should have legs closer together than a male and her stomach/belly is lower to the ground.

The more difficult way of telling after they are old enough to have layed a egg is to feel the ass end the female you will feel two bones that are seperated and farther than a males.

I wish you the best and good luck!
