Two gizmos in one (pasta maker)

A while back our blender broke, and for the most part I don't miss it. However, there are a few recipes I make that call foor a food processor and that's when I sorely miss it. The other day, just out of curiosity, I put some cooked broccoli through my pasta maker, and lo and behold - green smush (luckily, just what I needed). It doesn't really blend ingredients well unless it's pretty full, and the stuff has to be at least as soft as pasta dough, but when it goes through the hole and out the shape/template (use the big ones, so it doesn't bog, or a smaller one if your stuff is really soft) it is mushed. Besides, now I get more use out of one thingy and don't feel so bad about having it just to make noodles!

Soni, I haven't tried this yet, but I've read that you can run your dough for flour tortillas through the pasta maker (without attachments). For casseroles , and quite a few other dishes, rectangular tortillas would work just fine. Gerbil
