Everyone chickened out , so we shot him and ummm did he taste good tonight .No strong smell or taste .The butcher said there may be a strong sent when cooking but the meat would taste fine .But we didn't even have an odor , boy was I happy .

The Hog has left the building! Good for you. We had 250 pounds last fall and we still have allot. Gave away sausage to all our friends. I should have traded half of it to the butcher for hamburger! We had some of it sugar cured, but it did not taste as good as the regular ham. Pinto beans and pork, Pinto beans and pork, Pinto beans and pork.
