Minority Accounting Firm for an Integrated Accounting and Management System

greenspun.com : LUSENET : A.M.E. Today Discussion : One Thread

This is for the General Board, Commission on Statistics and Finance. In the current issue of our Discipline in two places on pages 184 and 291, the heading is : Efficient Management of Of General Church Finance, it states "he General Board at its first meeting after the 1992 General Conference directed the Commission on Statistics and Finance to secure the services of a minority accounting firm to develop, design, engineer, and prepare for installation of an integrated accounting and management information system to be used by the Department of Finance, other departments and division at all levels of the A.M.E. Church, including Episcopal District Budgets. The system was to include procedures for money handling, check writing, bank reconciliation, audits, comptroller and all other required internal controls, within thirty (30) days on direction from the General Board...............My question is, what is the status of this "direction"? Please don't tell me it hasn't been done.
