Some coincidence.

It is strongly suggestive that you should never fly out of JFK in New York to Europe over that route.

Hi Rachel, Interesting find. It contains much information and numerous investigative leads...could even be the basis for a spy/conspiracy thriller. Sounds like the military's toys are much more dangerous than most might think...

Here's the address of a website with numerous links to Flight 800 (some of it is a little flakey but there's some interesting stuff)

Here's another Flight 800 site, less conspiratorial:

Thanks for the responses. Things slow down on the weekends, so I wander around to new and different places....

I was hoping when I went to the site there would be a map showing the similarities and differences in flight paths; if I understand correctly, JFK Jr's airplane went down somewhere near the area as well.

I know the most about SR111, and I found the article weak in not mentioning that the main concern with the Swissair MD11 was that the add-on in-flight entertainment system was wired to an essential bus, something that should never have been allowed to occur. It is speculated that as the pilots turned the SEAS (a switch for running electrical system checks that would otherwise have been done by a third person in the cockpit) without knowing about the wiring anomalies, they may actually have exacerbated the fire situation. Regardless, the article is correct in stating that the cause of Flt 111's fire still is not known and, in fact, may never be known.

The 13-minute gap in communications for Flt 111 is a huge puzzle and, I agree, one that should be studied more carefully. However, everything I read about aviation tells me that EMI would not be able to penetrate the airframe. So, what else could cause such anomalies?

With MS990, investigators insist the DFDR is showing no anomalies. Surely EMI or a malfunctioning system somewhere in the airplane would show-up there.

If you want to learn more, go to this site. But then what will you do?

I have found this to be just one of a long list of coverups. It's the tip of the iceberg, my friends, and we are part of it.
