Ohio Driver's License Error Email story to a friend A southern Ohio newspaper says state officials have known since July that some Ohio driver's licenses and state I-Ds were issued bearing another state's security hologram.

The Cincinnati Enquirer is reporting that the Ohio Bureau of Motor Vehicles didn't publicize the error until Monday after the newspaper questioned bureau officials about a college student detained by Oxford police. Police said the woman had one of the faulty licenses and was detained because they thought she had a fake I-D.

State officials say hundreds of licenses bearing an Arkansas hologram were issued in the Cincinnati, Cleveland, Columbus and Toledo areas after a vendor shipped the wrong supplies to 20 license bureaus. State officials say Ohioans should return faulty cards and licenses to the issuing bureau for a free replacement.
