no notification of repossesion

The Halifax have informed us that they did not need to inform my husband of any court appearance or eviction notice even though his name is still on the mortage he held with his first wife, as they would only inform the people that are resident in the property. Does anyone know if this is true

I wish I knew for sure. I was never told of a repossession even though the Halifax had my forwarding address. I learnt through a friend that it had taken place. Do you know from your dealings whether they HAD TO go to court to get a repossesion as asolicitor is telling me that no court proceedings ever took place.
