Upcoming episode (small spoiler)

greenspun.com : LUSENET : ER Discussions : One Thread

This is from Jay Leno last night, but it *is* about the show and not just the actor, so I hope it's okay for posting. It had one spoiler for the show, which I thought were very cool. NW was on and Leno asked about whether there would be an explosion (since ER always seems to have "explosive" episodes) and he said they just finished filming a scene (in a later episode) where he kicks a door open and is supposed to "carry the lovely and talented Maura Tierney through the ER". What a way to regain self confidence, huh? Rescue the girl who turned you in! I really hope they develop a nice relationship between these two. NW also commented on how much other NBC shows have been overriding ER (he said he walked down the NBC halls and there were so many West Wing posters and just one ER poster "in the broom closet") and how he was "frightened", with a laugh...though he did watch Titans, with some funny comments about that.

They also showed a scene from tonight's episode of Carter and Benton checking into the detox center...it looks like it's going to be VERY good!

I hope they have a nice friendship too. I think he should be thankful for Abby because if she hadn't had turned him in who knows what would have happened. I'm glad he is finally getting help. This is just my opinion though.

Thanks, Elaine. I had so much going on yesterday that I forgot to watch Leno last night. I can't wait to see how Noah's storyline develops this year. The spoiler sounds very interesting. I hope that Abby and Carter are going to develop a nice friendship. Hopefully he will be grateful to her for helping him get straightened out. I also hope that he continues to have a friendship with Chen. He may not need a girlfriend right now, but he definitely needs friends!

And just one comment about the "Titans" thing they were joking about. For those who don't know there is a football team called the "Tennessee Titans" in Nashville, TN. Jay made a smart remark saying something about tights and "Titans". I for one didn't appreicate that. I'm not alone because several people I've talked to were offended to. They want the Titans (the football team) to get more respect then they have and people making cracks like that don't help at all. This is just my opinion. Sorry for the rant.

I just want to comment about the scene that they showed on Leno last night. The way Noah acted when he was trying to fill the forms was so touching. Benton was trying to calm him down. I wished I could give him a HUG right there. You can also see the signs of withdrawal from his behavior. He was so impatient. But anyways, I look forward to tonight's eppy and see where it goes.

I just wanted to apologize there for my last post. One, I didn't get alot of sleep last night. Two, I'm waiting with anticipation for tonight. This has got to be the slowest day ever IMO. Just 7 hours and 25 mins. to go.

Thanks for the recap. Could someone please tell me what the scene was about? I wont be able to watch Homecoming tonight (damn physics test!) and I couldn't watch Jay Leno yesterday (damn lit. essay):) If it's not too much trouble!

Samira, can you at least tape the premiere and watch it later? I hope you got to. The clip showed Carter and Benton walking into a rather dreary looking clinic where they need to fill out some paperwork. Carter sits down, looking worn and even sweaty, but can't hold his hand still enough to fill something out and, frustrated, throws the pen and asks Benton for another pen, saying it doesn't work. Benton quickly goes to the counter and asks the clerk if they can give him anything because he's shaky (he used other more medical terms I can't remember) and she says not yet and that he should go, because Carter needs to sign himself in. Benton does not look happy about this but gives Carter a pen and asks if he is okay from there. Carter looks upset, (poor guy...he wants Benton to stay!)) but says sure. Benton tells Carter "You can do this." Leno commented on how serious it looked and that they must need to joke around...NW says he whispered "kiss me Eriq". Cute! Sorry so detailed, I love recaping what happens.

We also learn that it is a 3 month program, to Carter's dismay. Just thought that was important to mention!
